I'm planning to use the front and middle bolts of my 2009 Taco (double cab long bed) to tie down an organizer (Brand Silver Shield). I had it made for my Tundra, now I adjusted the width to fit in my Taco. (see pic attached from Tundra)
The organizer has a 1/2" plywood at bottom, and since it sits on top of the bed, there is another 1/2" gap between the bolt and top of bed, so I think I would need at least 1" leverage on the bolt to work it out.
My question is if the 2 middle bolts are enough to hold the organizer in place. The 2 front bolts are offset 2" outside of the area where the organizer will sit, so maybe I could tie it to those front bolts with a metal strap (I'm not sure if this will work). Another problem would be the room I need to have in order to tighten the bolt.

I don't think you have that much length with those bolts, but I am not 100% sure. We've only had one box off a Tacoma, but based on how everyone else's trucks are put together all they ever give you is a little over 1". You could just change them out for ones long enough from a bolt place. Strapping the fronts should do the trick- it's the rears that are going to do the bigger job anyways (unless you wheel hard and/or jump your truck on a regular basis!)

    Yikes!
    I'd guess 14mm x 2.0 thread pitch, length... :notsure:
Can you pull one and take it for reference? That is the best thing to do...
