Yeah i drive in ma. nearly every week living just on the connecticut side from of ashley falls. I've driven the back roads around here where they dumped piles of white salt on them in places with reckless abandon. As far fluid film its good for lubricating my trucks fuel door...i'll give you that. Btw what am i dying to win anyways? I try to do a job the best i can the first time.

For once some very good truth to all this. All these rust inhibitors work, some a little better, and some more permanent. For my tastes i'm not into how the underside of my looks after its well washed. Long as i don't need to repeat the job, and see no rust taking hold i'm good. You'll probably see it more this way when you reach my age.

Marketing team discussions weren’t sold on the loosely based lanolin product, so they spiced it up a bit.

What kind of psycho puts ketchup on a sandwich. Do you eat cereal with water to?

I got a bit squeamish thinking of that, too! o_O :puke:

Perhaps Hot Dog would be a better analogy than :sandwich:

You mean you don't? I like ketchup, mayo with hot sauce on a turkey sandwich. Idk if this counts, but i use 1% milk in my cereal.

Nothing like a ketchup sandwich. Heinz ketchup on wonder bread. Try it.

Dear GOD can this get any worse?! o_O

Let me guess, a slice of toasted rye with a swipe of cosmoline is how you start the day?

Well, since it is time for dinner, I suppose I ought to throw in some edible food grade oil. That's the base for New Hampshire Oil Undercoating's products. Fortunately, I was able to make the five hour drive to Kalispell, Montana last Tuesday and delivered Barcelona Red to Glacier Undercoating before Guy arrived home. He was pleased to hear that I'd removed the spare and stowed it in the bed, then offered to guide me into the shop and lift. I'd made an appointment on the phone with his neighbor and business partner several weeks ago, and was told they closed at 5 and would need the truck all day for its Wednesday appointment. Guy (the owner) said he'd shoot it that evening and call me to pick it up the next morning. Wow! I was expecting to spend all day exploring Kalispell, but instead got a ride with an Uber driver, arriving as Guy parked the Taco in the driveway and was walking toward their house. We briefed on the future care of the NHOU treatment and the training he received and practiced on their own and their primary construction business rigs. This truck was clean so it didn't need the hot water pressure wash cleaning ($100) that I was prepared for, just the NHOU treatment ($275) so I handed him three hundreds (keep the change) and a new blue 2020 Tacoma DC from the Hot Wheels 2022 line for one of their grandkids. Nice folks, and it's been a while since I'd been in that country. I relaxed the remainder of the day until Thursday breakfast at Super 8, driving south along the east side of Flathead Lake, past the cherry orchards and UM's Yellow Bay Biological Station (I attended summer quarter courses there in 1977.), and on up the Bitterroot River valley. Friday was the last leg of the four-day trip, arriving to be welcomed by the cat. There's a forum for them on TW!
Guy explained that they plastic bag the exhaust system, avoiding any spray of product burning off later and adding some odor to the cabin.

Rather than toasted rye, try it with nine grain bread and a smear of honey... :hungry::cheers:

I don't know why some guys here are saying their Fluid Film dries like paint if they spray it on. I believe you are mistaken. What is probably happening is that the Fluid Film is washing off from puddles, rain. Are you only checking under your car once a year? I use Fluid Film on my cheaper cars and I use Woolwax on my newer cars and since i'm by the ocean, I have to do this often and check for wash off from our 50 inches of rain a year. What I see is that since both are lanonlin based, they both stay wet. However, because Fluid Film is so less thick than Woolwax it washes off way more easily so you may be seeing dry spots because the Fluid Film is gone already.

    I would call it petroleum-based at 51-100%

I like fluid film. I'm in prime rust area so I don't trust any of them. The undercarriage needs washed and FF reapplied more than once a winter. There is no rust proofing, just as much mitigation as you're willing to put effort in

Bottom line, if you live in an area that treats the roads and want to keep your vehicle from looking like so many other 7-8 year old, $40k vehicles with fenders flapping in the wind then you need to be vigilant with what ever product you choose.

Interesting! I wonder if this is one reason why Woolwax is better. Maybe it's Woolwax that does not have any solvents or petroleum in it. Woolwax costs more which I suppose is because it truly just has lanolin in it which costs more to procure.

Always thought the smell in Fluidfilm was the lanolin ?
