So you use fluid film, not cosmoline.

I can't find i tnow, but in one of these rustproofing threads there was a mechanic video about ziebart, and how it looks all great until start digging in with a screwdriver, to find that the frame has rusted underneath the ziebart coating. Does cosmoline act similar to ziebart?

No cosmoline is still an oil based product, not a rubberized undercoat.

I posted the following a few weeks ago in another thread. Perhaps new eyes will consider it, so here it is.
"I tried FF, CRC, and Surface Shield. What a pain to crawl under there on my gravel driveway to apply it. I recently found out about https://corrosionfree.com/ They claim it's recommended by the Canadian military, and they have a warranty. I let a dealer apply it for $200. With their tools, they get into more nooks and crannies than I could with a rattle can. And it's applied only every 18 months. Considering the cost of 6-8 rattle cans, and the pain of crawling under there myself, and the limitations of coverage of the rattle can, I'll let the dealer do it. I had mine done last week."

Easier to apply yourself if you lift the truck up on jack stands, and remove all the tires. Engine shield to. It gets to be a pita doing the job over...those 18 months go by quick.

I can agree with that up to the point it doesn't get finished on time, then there's the calling into work and various other snowballs.
