my roller fairlead is recessed in the arb bull bar so i don't think it's going to impede clearance. but a hawse will lead to the rope making contact with the bumper on anything more than a 15 degree pull i would imagine.

slee off road sells an off set hawse that supposedly works with the arb bull bar but, i don't know anyone currently running that set-up to get some kind of first hand review/experience on if it's good or bad.

the reason to get delrin rollers are:
    1. weight
    2. delrin can't acquire burrs or other imperfections that would damage synthetic rope

the stock roller fairlead is actually better than a hawse, because rollers reduce friction, thus preventing wear and tear on your line. Salesmen will try to convince you that a hawse is necessary because rollers damage synthetic line if a roller gets imperfections, but if you take care of your gear (read: inspect and maintain) and don't go smacking your fairlead, you are fine.

A hawse is simply a benefit in terms of looks and clearance.

    excellent points..

for me tho, clearance was the main factor and the hawse type doesn't look all retarded sticking out of my bumper haha. but that's just me

Yeah, almost made me switch, too... but I'm cheap and I've got a creed: "Performance first, all others second" :p
