    Hi,
I expect my 2022 SR/SX to be available this week or next, without the optional bed lights. Soon after, I'll be ordering the Leer 180. From what I've read so far, even though I didn't order the optional bed light, the wiring harness is still present from behind the driver side tail light all the way to the area close to the cabin fuse box.
If this is so about the harness already being there, what would be the downside of using that harness to power after market bed lighting, along with the cap light, and connecting directly to the fuse box so I could have the light switch in the bed of the truck and not in the cabin? Thanks.

Instead of rewiring what's there just run a new wire from a switch you install and hook it up, that's what I did to mine

It's nice to have the bed lights on when you open the door. I had to add the bed lights to mine.

I suspect that my post will be seen by more people if I re-post in the 3rd gen forum. So that's what I've done. Sorry for any confusion.
