I'm not ready to remove the rear seats from my '07 access cab. I keep them folded down for my dog or cargo. That leaves an unused space that is around 20" x 11" x 2.5-3" under each of the folded down back seats. I'm wondering if and how other '05-08 access cab owners use the spaces under the folded down back seats.

I'm particularly interested in finding containers that will fit in those spaces.
So far the best option I've found is the Toyo Steel Trunk Toolbox T360 (from $50 on eBay). However, it's significantly smaller than the space under each seat. Ideally, I'd like something closer to the size of the space under each seat that I can pull out from the side without folding the seats up.

FWIW I did search, but there are so many threads on access cab back seats and storage that I was unable to find what I was looking for.

I use those spaces for a trauma kit, a tool kit, small stowaway backpack, pair of old shoes and jacket.

Once upon a time I kept a 18 inch barrel 12 gauge pump under them. But I don't do that anymore.

Just like @kidthatsirish, I store and have stored a variety of things, but never in containers.
It appears you're looking for a durable / lockable container.
I was recently was looking for inexpensive ammo boxes to store magazines and the search results for ammo boxes was limited. Then I punched in tackle boxes and the gates opened up with a ton of options.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

Yeah - I'm looking for something with a handle I can grab from the side and pull out without flipping up the seat. Since my OP, I've found a couple tool rolls with zippered compartments which are about the right size (unrolled). Rigid MOLLE Panels from Grey Man Tactical and MOLLE pouches to organize my stuff is another option. I've also reached out to the owner of TOE Gear about having him make something for me. His prices are good given the quality of his work (hot cut high-quality fabrics AND taped seams). I already own a few things he's made.

Here was my solution based off a storage thread for 3rd gens. Although I have the Craftsman version, the Dewalt T-Stak is identical (and I like that it’s black). Fits perfectly as long as you don’t need the seat adjusted back all the way.

Seat folds down all the way. I used a 2 foot cam strap I had and threaded it through top and bottom openings on the side to pull out when the seat is down. Few pics for visuals. Hope that helps give you some ideas.

Thanks The Mink. My '07 looks like this, and I don't want to remove the seats:

I'm looking for something that will fit between the seat "legs" in front and the carpeted wall of the storage compartment in back.

Remove the floor mats for extra space, it also allows kits to slide from the side more easily.tjen, go to target or Walmart and get those first aid soft zipper pouches. They fit perfectly and can carry all kinds of gear. I'll take a pic of my setup to give you some ideas

Tool bag, tow strap, cables & padlocks, etc. Still room for a couple sheets of paper.
