    That’s enough Internet for me today...

    @KVTaco i would recommend watching a few YouTube videos on vehicle charging systems as well as some on electric generators to learn the differences on why your truck wouldn’t work as a house generator.

    For a quick reference, an easy equation to remember is “p=ie”. Where P is power in watts, I is current in amps and E is voltage. IxE=P
    P/I=E
    P/E=I

    Any device that uses electricity will have the voltage and current requirements on a sticker somewhere on the device. Multiply the two to know if your inverter will be able to run it.

    That bed ac power outlet serves only two useful purposes in my opinion:
    1) Christmas lights in the bed as some have posted.
    2) Ability to add an AC with USB power outlet in the cab (inverter is under the center console) to keep kids’ electronics powered up during road trips.

    Mine powers a heating blanket under Astro turf. I’m all about ambiance


    I’m serious about the AstroTurf. It’s really fuckin nice. I camp/sleep back there.
