To get from Tracy, CA to your state a truck has to drive east on I-80 over a mountain pass that just got 10+ feet of snow. FedEx is terrible but they get a pass on this one.

My wife was doing some clothing subscription thing called stich fix. She was supposed to get something last july. It never showed so she let them know and they refunded it. And has since stopped the subscription (but not because of this incident).

Last week we got a mystery package. Figured out it was the missing one when we saw the july 2022 mail date.

Usps sucks but what are you going to do. 0 accountability, and no one to complain to.

Nothing is as bad as On-Track, we had one of their driers who was so overwhelmed with shipments in my area, he was marking packages as delivered and then storing them in his garage for weeks, and then delivering them when he could find time. I had one of their regional managers show up at my house after I called them with multiple shipments showing delivered. She apologized but I made sure every company I purchase from does not use them for deliveries after that. I heard they fired the delivery guy after that incident.

I blamed my mailman for this too, then the next one did it, and then the next. One day I was outside when it was breeze and realized the wind was doing it all along.

I had a good chuckle on a USPS delivery from Amazon.

It originated in SoCal and was to come to Forest Grove OR. The delivery date was estimated roughly 3 days. A bit long winded with that, but whatever?

Watched the damn thing scoot right up to Portland in one day. Then over the next 24hrs it actually came through Hillsboro, then back to Portland, up to Seattle, back to Portland and then back to Hillsboro.

It was actually back in Hillsboro 24hrs early based on the estimated delivery date, so they sat on it in Hillsboro for that entire time before finally delivering a whopping 36 hrs later.

Mind you, Hillsboro is roughly a 10-20min drive from Forest Grove. Go figure?

I've had bad, and great experiences with USPS, UPS, and Fed-Ex. When everything goes well it is great, but they all make mistakes and at times it can be both humorous and irritating. I can't say any one is better than the other. Fortunately, it works great more often than not.

UPS has worked well for me. USPS lost two packages for me (one that I sent and one that I was to receive) in the last year.

    To date,

    - Had a package from CA to Idaho routed through WA, then to TX, then back to the original CA distribution center, then finally received after a month (Priority Mail my ass)

    - Cannot count the packages lost delivered to the wrong addresses. We get people's misdelivered packages and personally take them to their house if it's in the neighborhood, but seems like most people jump up and down for free stuff. :-\

    - Carrier jammed a package into the mailbox so hard it literally broke the mailbox, I had to remove the mailbox from the post and crowbar it open, then buy a new mailbox.

    - A one of a kind crystal pitcher was reduced to splinters. Partially on the person selling, it should have been a bigger box, but this was not just broken like a drop or a crush, this thing was literally pulverized like they played soccer with it in the warehouse. No piece bigger than an inch.

    - Currently I'm in Fedex hell for something that should arrived Sunday. Salt Lake to our location is a 3-4 hour drive, it's was "in transit" for two days, then went to delayed, now it's "in transit" from a distribution center on the opposite side of Salt Lake. Who knows if we'll ever get it.

For the most part I'm sure you'll all admit 95% of shipments go off without a hitch. But when it goes sideways, it REALLY goes sideways and attempts to resolve it clearly demonstrate how little shipping companies give a crap. The worst part is it sure looks like there is zero consequences or accountability.

I don't get it I'm in Maine big state not many people. Between my self and the wife we get a lot of stuff on line Fed EX, UPS, USPS (I use USPS a lot sending things to my daughter in northern Maine they have been the best) UPS used to be pretty good personally I think they went down hill being a shipper for Amazon, I rate them at the bottom.

We actually called in the local FedEx route manager for a face to face complaint on this one. The afternoon driver to our office has been forging signatures and tossing boxes onto our lobby floor. This one was a 65 pounder and set so close to the door that we had to report it to our corporate as a safety incident. If Rock Lobster has to file bullshit paperwork, then he's gonna make sure that everybody is as miserable about it as he is.
