It was just the battery having super low cold cranking amps (200). The check engine light was caused from the mis starts and the skid light was tied into that check engine light. The have the codes in the history, and I got a free battery from it.

Has anyone ever heard of or gotten any work/service done at Powertrain Perfection in West Layton?

Thinking that's where I'm most likely gonna get my lift installed.

Worst advice ever. Jiffy lube should be avoided at all costs.

I have a neighbor that takes his jeep to those guys. Seem ok with the Jeep stuff. No idea how experienced they are with Toyotas. The lift shouldn't be a big deal for them.

And what ADAM said avoid jiffy lube they suck unless you have a good friend working there and can get away with S&E. and please dont say you take your truck to get serviced there, if you do might need to do it again ASAP. the oil they use is not the best. there more quantity then quality. Actually thats almost with every shop anywhere you go these days. if you really dont know how to do your oil/oil filter, spark plugs or any service like that, and taking it to shops that charge a but load of money and do it as fast as they can cause they got another customers car waiting. shoot mine aswell bring it to me or i can go to your place and pay me instead and ill get it done for you. and even teach you if you really dont know whats going on under the hood. had my truck for 4 yrs now and it has never seen a shop or been touch by someone else....... except tire shops and thats because i dont have a tire machine and a tire balance machine. or else i wouldn't be there aswell. :)

Awesome! I'll even throw in some goodies from Hawaii :D

Also I have no experience with that kind of work and have probably NO tools that would help. I think I still have your phone number from when we were talking about fishing.

On my 1st gen I'm just doing 5100s all around, OME 883s, and a 2" AAL in back with new ubolts

Thanks Adam. If I can find a member or two to help me out with the install I'll maybe take it to them for the alignment since they had the lowest quoted price ($55).

Depends on where you're coming from, but rural and somewhat removed. Nice outdoor recreation to the east.

You'll get that, although I'd define Logan personally as small town USA, not "small(er)." I personally like that but that's admittedly not for everyone. The university in town is largely focused on agricultural programs and the impression I get is that the LDS influence up there is fairly strong - not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that, just be aware if you're a gentile like me. Logan Canyon over to Bear Lake is gorgeous.

Others who are better informed will need to answer that.

And there are certain principles of their religion that I have an enormous amount of respect for, particularly the value it places on family. I only bring it up because it has driven some non-believers I know positively batshit, and since you're asking about the community I feel it's only fair to be straightforward about it. Personally I believe that diversity of opinion makes the world a richer place in which to live.

Logan... Well, personally, I wouldn't call it a small town. I guess my idea of small town is a bit different than most though. Under 1000 people is small town to me. ;) Thinking something like Wallsburg or Henefer. I wouldn't even consider Park City a small town and it has 15% the population of Logan (7,500 vs 48,000).

But with any city, your feeling of safety has more to do with the area and neighbors than the city itself. I live in a city about the same size as Logan, and in a decent neighborhood overall. I'm not saying I've never had anything stolen out of my front yard, as I have, but also I've never had anything go missing beyond my front yard and never anything vandalized. Once in a while I leave my cars unlocked accidentally and they've always been fine, and I dont feel like I need to lock the doors to go to sleep.

Although I'm atheist, I do think that the for the most part, the Mormons are generally the more helpful and nicer religions available. As far as religions go, I do think that their church is generally doing the correct thing for society as a whole. Really not all that pushy either.

Gun laws aren't bad. http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/FirearmLaws.html I could summarize it, but they already did a pretty good job of that. Mostly common sense stuff anyway. Utah does honor all other states CCW permit, but I would still recommend getting a Utah permit if you're living here anyway, as your NV one would no longer have a valid address. Its just a simple class and fingerprints/pic and then you wont have to worry about it any longer.

    Thanks for the hook up!

Must depend on the Jiffy Lube I went and talked to a guy at a local Jiffy Lube and the kid was a complete prick.

Logan is 48k? Really? I never would've guessed. Does that include students?

And PC, well... being a resort town takes it out of the small town criteria completely IMO.

I am gonna be hating trying to do my S&E cause I should have a tube front by then. And the laws are stated very vaguely.

    WHY???

I had a pontiac sunbird they passed without a working horn and one head light out??

On a subaru the horn did not work and the exhaust was broken in half before the muffler and it STILL passed.

I could go on and on about how stupid they are and that is just perfect for getting things passed in the inspections.
