UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

I was in the same boat. But I ended up having to get a set of 4. Now I have 2 sets. About $200 for 4. Now I have winter/offroad set and DD set.

 

I got lucky late last night! Some guy in Sugarhouse had just posted a set off his 05 Tacoma tires and wheels for $20. I jumped on that deal so quick!

Took the whole set but will only use one wheel. Gonna try sell the others and make some profit at a place called CheapAssTires in West Haven that buys and sells

 

Nice. You have to jump on those deals quick. I have lost out on a few canoes so far on KSL. Just been too slow.

 

Have any of you purchased products with Low Range Off Road in Orem? Are these sliders any good? Seams like a good deal at $279 for bolt on:

Isnt the outdoor expo this weekend at south town?

 

There was a meetup i went to there a while back. Seems like they specialize in toyota and suzuki.

 

Outdoor Retailer is at the Salt Palace downtown - I'll be there for the next three days. It runs through Saturday.

 

Those are Trail Gear Sliders. Built by Trail Gear, sold by Low Range. That's what I run on my 1st Gen truck and they've been great. I don't have firsthand experience with the 2nd Gen ones.

 

I am thinking of getting sliders. Does anyone have a go to welder in the Provo/Salt Lake area and what should I expect to pay to get sliders welded on?

Also, does it void the warranty when sliders are welded on to the frame?

 

Yes it voids the warrantee an toucan get them welded at Ultimate Offroad and locked offroad. I think lowland might do it but idk for sure. I have access to a welder and welded mine on no problem.

 

Hey guys, I put on the OEM roof rack and don't need the inserts anymore. I remember not long after I bought my truck, one of them "fell out". not sure when or where but one day it was gone. If that has happened to anyone else, your welcome to mine. Free dollars.

Hahah yeah no locker used to get up on there just 4 low. I just have a crapy tuff country 3inch that I needs change.

so ive completely had it with vegas im thinking about moiving near slc i have some family up there and theres like 5 openings for my job up there so i can transfer so i would have a job when i got there what do you guys thnk about utah goods bad i dont think i can handle another summer in vegas and im sick of the city life i want to be somewhere more country i would be about 30 to 40 mins north of slc

 

just fyi im looking for a lot of snow
