UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

Hey guys, somethings come up and I'm not going to make it today so take lots of pics and post them up so I can see what I missed.

 

Great times today, folks! A huge shout-out to smkd13 for putting this together, and thanks to everyone for helping me learn a little more today. I finished up with a trip over Pole Line Pass, down Snake Creek to Midway, and up to Guardsman Pass and home via Big Cottonwood Canyon -- when did they pave that stretch from Midway to Bonanza Flats, anyway??

Looks like a fun time. I had some church commitments or I would have been there. Next time for sure though.

 

Dang wish I could hAve hit the trails but in other news picked up my rtt nice meeting all you folks!

It was cool to meet you and you kicked ass on the trail! Hopefully we'll all get together again sooner and Ben can wheel his own rig

 

There was some nice tacomas yesterday.. My son really liked them. Them and the dogs. I didn't really stick around and socialize though, :/ being new I felt awkward, ha

 

Looks like fun. I didn't realize Kurt made it in his FJ40. I thought he was in South America. Or was someone else driving his 40?

 

Nah it was Kurt. Super cool guy. Even cooler rig.

Maybe next time I won't be hung over and I'll make it. But that's what I was saying when I saw the pics no first gens

 

I actually tried to get a buddy of mine with a rockin' first gen to come along, but he was unfortunately working back in Steamboat Springs this weekend, his home town.

Oh, and his wife drives a 93 Hilux.

We both (ie, both me and the truck) survived undamaged, thanks for asking. Some expert spotting from Ben saved my ass through that first rock garden. Had I been alone I would've looked at it and turned back. Even going back down I looked at it and called out to Ben, "I got through this on the way up, right?"

I'd love to lift it a few, but that's cash I simply don't have.

That Facebook link I posted above gives a pretty detailed account of my day from my point of view. Jake had a pretty wild ride in the bed. I spent a good chunk of today cleaning the dust, mud and dirt from everything inside and out.

 

Haha every time you called your dog I looked over.. My names also jake haha good to hear man.

Off topic but KISS puts on one hell of a show, lots of energy kicking off their 40th anniversary tour tonight.

It was a good meet and going to definitely try to get another planned soon.

 

That was a good time. lets find some more trails. I'm up for rolling into someplace and setting up camp for the night. Then rolling back out the next day. Saturday to Sunday kind of thing.
