I took the long way home from work and me and my unlifted 2013 did Forest Lake alone.

It was a blast! I got assistance from a helpful ATV rider at the tough obstacle near the entrance on the way down, but other than that I came out unscathed on my own without a spotter.

Nice drive that requires careful negotiations at some spots. I am sure I could use 3" lift.

Anyone here interested in a Tepui Autana with annex? We have a little one on the way and are thinking of upgrading to a larger tent for next year.

I am still determining price. They go new for 1375 plus the 150 shipping. PM me an offer if you want. It is only about 10 months old and in great shape. You can see pictures in my build thread. I always store it indoors when we aren't camping.

I may be able to bundle a roof rack for a double cab tacoma with this if anyone is interested. After see what others have gone for and other models from other brands I think I would like to get 1200 for it. That includes the annex and everything. The only thing I can think of that is wrong with the tent is a slight bend in one of the rods that props the windows open. It doesn't affect function at all.

Color me impressed! My 2007 Tacoma is likewise unlifted. I needed a bunch of spotting on the way up. The only spot I needed help with on the way down was at the same spot that you apparently did, but I was definitely glad to have had company on that trip.

    Ditto.

I got out and scouted a few spots out before moving forward. It was difficult and tricky at times, especially because I was in a suit (remember I was at work). There are definitely about 5 spots where getting out and looking is mandatory in an unlifted truck to pick a good line.

Sliders are important without a lift. I dont think I would venture alone without them just in case.

I hope to get out another time soon with everyone and enjoy the convenience of a spotter and good company.

    When is the next outing?
