I've been a couple times and Bob and Jace put on a great event. What I'm about to say isn't directed at them or the event itself. I'm probably just too old.....but there's too many knuckleheads that attend the event for my taste. A bunch of young, cocky egos that make the event feel like a frat party. If you're into that scene, that's cool and I'm not saying there's something wrong with it. Its just not the kind of scene I'm into. All that said, it's a great time to spend in Moab with a bunch of Tacomas. It's possible that I will still be there representing Tepui but if not, I probably won't be going.

 

I can definitely see how that could be the case just from what I have seen on the previous BS threads for the events. I am excited to go and put some names to faces but doubt that my family and I will fit in too well with the majority of the people going. Again, like you said nothing wrong with that group, just different lifestyles/priorities/interests.

 

Wonder if that 4Runner is still at the first water crossing on Kane Creek..?

 

I plan on going with a small group and avoiding the "frat party" so do know there are those of us that camp desperately but still attend the event.

Good things are happening at Rattlesnake trail on Sunday at 11 AM. Hope to see you there.
