About to get a new set of tires, and still a little torn between the BFG KO2 265/70/17 load range C or the 275/70/17 load range E. Anyone have experience with either of these? E too stiff/C not hold up? its my DD but also gets off pavement regularly. I've read countless postings already, just looking for a bit of specific feedback. Thanks

You will hate the E's...I had a set of 285's in Cooper Discoverer STT's and they made my truck ride like a buckboard wagon. I ran them less than two weeks and sold them on KSL to a guy with an F150.

I have a set of 265/70/17 BFG AT's in C, and I have about 50-60k miles on them. They have another 5k left on them before they go to the recylcer. They are on my Moto Metal's, and they are pretty worn out, so I only run them in the summer.

Have a nearly new set in 265/75/16 of the same tire on my stock rims I run during the winter.

The C's I felt wore way quickly but those were duratracs so the brand/model may have had more to do with it than anything. My KM2s and ST Maxx are both E and I have been happy with both.

I would likely attribute it to them being an MT. I have no complaints with the longevity I have seen on my AT's, While there is no stated mileage warranty/rating like you see on most car tires, I figure getting 60K+ out of a set of tires on any vehicle is pretty dang good.

Duratracs are an A/T, as are the ST Maxx I have now although both may be slightly more agressive than the KO depending on who you talk to. The KM2 is really the only true MT tire I have owned. With both the KM2 and the ST Maxx I am seeing significantly better wear than the Duratrac. I totally agree that 60k out of a tire is great for any set of tires.

Thanks for your thoughts. Anyone have issues with sidewall with the C? And I agree, 60k on and AT is pretty good!

    I run 265/75/16 in E, KO2.

I don't find them to be all that bad. Don't run them at 3/4 ton truck pressures, they don't need that for this truck.

Do a chalk test or take temps across the tread to determine good pressures.

I run 40psi cold, -.5 camber, on icon coil overs, and wheelers HD springs.

Yes they ride a but worse, but it's the gas mileage that hurts most.

Tread wear has been pretty good, I think I could get 40k out of them, but I never run them all the way down.

And it'll ride a whole lot better next week when I install Kings and Dakars! Anyone up for a mod and beer day next weekend?

Anyone locally thats done the sway bar delete on their 05+ and have both side end links they would be willing to make me a deal on?? I have an annoying clunk in my front end I have tracked down to the end links...really don't want to have to spend $100+ a side from a dealer...

My sway bar is just chilling in the garage. I doubt I will ever put it back on it came off with about 8k on the clock so both the links should be in excellent shape. Make me an offer.

Do you think it would be okay? I am currently running the stock coils on 5100's at 1.75". I have considered removing it, but don't know if my set up is stiff enough to manage without. I am planning on throwing on some 112-620 Eibach/Toytec coils with the 5100's at .85 to increase my front lift to ~2.5", in the very near future. I have read so many threads about deleting it, but there are always one or two nay-sayers that make me second guess the safety aspect of it.

I am digging the new sidewall pattern on those!! Makes them look far more aggressive than the old pattern on mine!

You definitely can feel a difference but it is something you just adjust your driving to. I took mine off and when I am cruising up Provo Canyon with all the turns I have to slow down (to the speed limit) and not speed around those but as long as I do that the truck is fine. It basically takes the limits of your truck and brings them down a bit. Obviously a tuned race car can corner better than a truck. A truck with a sway bar can do so better than one without. If you offroad enough then slowing down on the curves is worth the gains you will get offroad.

If you don't offroad often I would leave the swaybar on.

This is a Great alternative for both. This allows to have the swaybar for safty and better control both on and off the trail. Even Race Cars have Sway Bars. This also allows for better movement of the Swaybar.swaybarlinksmain.jpg

How much would those set me back? Trying to find them on your site and it is running extremely slow...
