Those just provide more articulation in the end links and more strength right? I would think that even with good articulating link having the sway bar on still limits how well the two IFS sides can function independently of each other.

Yikes...way too rich for me, especially where I don't do anything more than drive dirt roads to my hunting/fishing spots very often.

    Zach, I pm'ed you...

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
you can always put it back on, im running some pretty heavy 882 old man emu coils up front so mine is pretty stiff, you'll definitely notice the difference but i actually prefer the extra body roll over stock, it seems like it drives more like a truck.

I am thinking of the same thing. Here is what I know...

Fivemile Pass is 30 miles west of Lehi on State Road 73. It is about an hour to 1.5 hours from Downtown SLC depending on traffic.

Skyline Drive Road is up 400 North in Bountiful. It is about 20 - 30 min from Downtown SLC depending on traffic. I am not sure if there is a gate on the road or not. I normally go to Skyline / Bountiful Peak area from the Farmington Canyon side and I know that gate 7 miles up is closed right now.

North Canyon Trail in Bouniful at the top of Canyon Creek Dr. (May have a gate...) Muller Park Rd. in Bountiful. (May have a gate....) Maybe the Bountiful locals can share some information.

There may be some play areas up Little or Big Cottonwood Canyons, American Fork Canyon, or even Parleys but I am not familiar with those areas.

I have heard there is an area between Draper and Alpine. It is off of Traverse Ridge Rd. (Draper side) along Suncrest Dr. and Highland Blvd. (Alpine side). Maybe somone else can help with that information.

Tooele / Magna may have stuff too but I don't know.

The Wasatch Front really needs a 4x4 park like they have in other states. When I get the itch to go play in my Tacoma I dont like that I have to drive and hour to hit dirt without it being private property or gated. Especially when I just want to test out my truck for 30 min. Like when I up-grade somthing or want to test things out.

Who drives a black truck with pelfreybilt high clearance rear bumper, Baja tub style front, sliders, a "beat not babied offroad" sticker on the rear slider window, and was at smiths in herriman tonight?

Thought I'd throw this question out here. Finished (almost?) the install of my Kings and Dakars, and abolutly love them! After picking up all the tools and such from the install I realized I never put the carrier baring drop kit on. Now, after 200 miles, I don't notice any vibration. Should I still put it on, or leave it as is? Obviously not a difficult thing to install, but curious if it would be worth putting on or leaving as is. Thoughts.

It might be nice to throw on so it's not so stressful on the carrier bearing, since u already have it.

Drove the 2016 last night.. oh man.. They won't give me what I owe on my trade, even if I toss in my other car. No MT in the state to test drive, I'd have to build one custom which is pretty rad to think about.

Deciding on waiting 6 months till the sales slow down (hah, right) and paying down my loan a few grand. Got pre-approved for $38k at 5%, it's just the negative equity I don't want to sit on. But for a brand new truck for $50 more per month, shoot. That cockpit was cozy!

If you can get past the ugly stretched look of the front end....I will be keeping my 2nd Gen for a very long time....3rd Gens are fugly IMO. Not to mention I would never purchase the first few model years after a major change.

I didn't like the new look at first, but it's growing on me. The only think I don't care for is the stamped tailgate. I love the ride and interior, and ine has 70k with 5 owners and a few fender benders. It'd be nice to have my own new one again. I agree, a new model year is risky, and if I wait till next year, I can maybe get a used one and skip that depreciation loss. By then, my loan will be paid down and my credit better, and get a lower rate. Argg.. Maybe I just paint mine black and keep him till the wheels fall off :)

My opinion may be a bit skewed too, as mine has been paid of for almost four years and I enjoy not having a truck payment. I plan to drive mine til the wheels fall off or I can pass it down the line and justify a new one.

I had a friend ask me if I totaled my tacoma and insurance would replace it with either a new 2nd gen or a new 3rd gen which one I would take. I easily responded that it would be a 2nd gen.

The 3rd gen is nice but being a new model means that all the bugs haven't been diagnosed and fixes haven't been discovered. With the 2nd gen there are so many aftermarket parts and so much information it is just easier to work with.

I feel like right now there are hundreds of threads in the 3rd gen section all complaining about little problems that nobody can diagnose or fix. Give it a few years and those things (hopefully) wont be issues anymore, then the 3rd gen will be a lot more appealing.

I'd love to have 0 payments. Just did the math on amortizing out the loan and resale value on both, and it makes sense to keep mine another year or two. I may even take the $50 extra that they payment would be, and the $1500 down, and pay down my principle faster. Now, if I can just sell this bug and Probe GT and get them out of the way hahah
