What made you decide not to go with a plate bumper?

It was a combination of things related to towing. None of them have a stated rating on their hitches. Although Pelfreybilt does say they have "designed and tested" theirs up to the factory rating, but ultimately state no tow rating. Relocating the hitch point any higher such as behind the plate on the Pelfreybilt would have caused issues with my wdh setup on my trailer, and required me to purchase new parts, which I really don't feel like messing with at the moment. Ultimately, I wanted the plate bumper purely for the cool factor from the looks. I really have no need for the functionality of a plate bumper as I rarely go anywhere other than a dirt road and it would have just been poserish. I hope I put that down on paper in a way that makes sense...lol

No that makes perfect sense! I think ARB is the only bumper that is actually rated but I could be wrong.

Questions for all of you Utah homeowners. Might be pulling the trigger on buying a house. Can you guys answer a few questions.

What is your average monthly bills for water/sewer? Trash and electricity?

    Thanks

I have my sewer through South Valley Sewer, I pay a flat $25 a month for that.

Trash/recycle through Wasatch waste management is $44.25 every 3 months or you can pay a lump sum of $177 once a year.

Water through the city is about $40 a month during the winter and around $120 during the summer. I have .27 acre and a lot of grass to water! Highest bill I had was $240 when I was watering in sod in July..

Gas through Questar is about $110 ( heat rarely above 68) during the winter and $25 during the summer

Power through Rocky Mountain Power is about $85 during the winter and $165 during the summer (a/c never set below 70 and is on a programmable thermostat so it shuts off while not home).

Wow, those rates for electricity and gas are way higher than I figured it would be. FYI house Im looking at is a 4 bed 3 bath, 1896 sq ft.

Mine are all much higher than that but I've got 3600 sq ft so it's a poor comparison. Utah is pretty cheap to live in general though.

Anybody know a decent reputable powder coater in the SL valley? I have a set of BAMF bolt on sliders sitting in my garage I am thinking of having done...I think I might be too lazy and not have the time to prep and paint them myself after all...

hay guys! whats the best live music around the salt lake area this comming saturday night? Preferably in a brewary/restaurant type of place, and that people under 21 can get in (or sneak into).

Not really picky on the kind, but the folk/swing/live band types of music you find in bars and such works well

    thanks!

Mark, you're going to have a pretty hard time finding any live music and alcohol under the same roof. Utah also scans ID's at the door so getting in underage would most likely involve some climbing gear and some mission impossible skills. I know that Kilby Court is an all ages venue and is a great place to watch bands play but there is no food/beer available and no bars within a reasonable walking distance. In the Venue has a under 21 side and and over 21 side with a full bar but no food. Anyway here's the list from SLUG of all the live shows going on Saturday I'm sure there's some other spots missing from the list (like the Garage on Beck) that a google search will bring up.
