UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

I ended up saving the 160 to have them powder coated and did the rattle can approach. I've had them for over a year and after this winter did a big sand/grind and repaint, and then several touch ups after putting them on rocks while on the trail. In my mind, the minimal amount of work and easy touch up make spray painting sliders a great choice, and then saving $140 isn't so bad (spent about $20 on primer and paint)

 

That was my original plan, but I ended up deciding I wasn't going to find the time to paint them. So I took the lazy route.

 

Anyone have a 2016 SR or SR5 grill and want to swap for my TRD sport one?

Hola, I just medically retired from the Air Force and relocated to Salt Lake City. Thought I would drop in and say hello. I have a 2013 TRD Sport Double Cab, 6 inch Fabtech lift, Fab Fours Vengeance Series Front and Rear bumpers, Bushwhacker Fender Flares. That being said I have all my original parts for sale, to include my TRD Trail Team Black Wheels.

Howdy folks, I'm currently searching for a Softopper (not a Bestop) for a shortbed Tacoma, doesn't really matter what color but I would prefer black or charcoal. Looking to purchase in the next month or two. If anyone has one they are looking to get rid of or know someone looking to sell please let me know. I'd like to stay local if possible but I'm willing to travel a bit for the right deal. Thanks!

 

Anyone know of a good spot to have a new CB radio and antenna tuned in the Salt Lake/Park CIty area. Just installed mine today and would like someone who actually knows what their doing to tune the antenna and SWR. Thanks. And if you're that person who is a CB master, there's beer in it for you!

I just bought a built first gen 4Runner so I'll be selling my 2005 Tacoma. Red double cab TRD off road with a 3 inch lift (toytec AAL's in the rear, spacers up front). I've been in Vietnam for a month and the truck is currently in Portland but if anyone is interested I can bring it down to Utah next weekend or the weekend of July 4th. I won't be in Utah full-time until August so if I don't have my brother sell it while I'm in Portland it will be put up on KSL in August. If my memory serves me correctly it has around 170k miles. Perfectly reliable and very capable in Moab. The frame was inspected by Brent Brown in Orem and passed. Transmission fluid was changed a couple months ago at 169k miles. I have an aftermarket all in one key/fob that replaces the separate unit from the factory. I made paracord grab handles for the front doors and I installed an aux input that works with the stock stereo. I was thinking about asking $14,500 with softopper included. I'll see if I can find some pictures to post, I can also make a classified thread if the mods require it.

 

I have a black one on my Tacoma short bed, I'm selling the whole truck but for a good enough offer I'd sell the softopper separately. There was a small, roughly half inch tear on the passenger side that I didn't notice until after I purchased it. Not sure if the previous owner didn't know about it or just didn't tell me about it. Anyways, it has been patched with canvas and black silicon to ensure it remains water tight.

 

Anyone want some 2016 Tacoma TRD sport wheels and tires? only about 600 miles on them!

Hi guys, I live in Salt Lake City and if your looking for a local fab shop that does rock sliders I know of one. I recently had mine done from Tayco Fab. He custom fabs up rock sliders for a reasonable price. I didn't see your exact location but figured I would let you know. I will post his companies facebook link below. Also a picture of my Tacoma with the custom rock sliders. I don't have a better picture of said rock sliders but you can find examples on his page.
