Was too busy digging out a civic on a blind corner in one of the busiest canyon roads in the state with icy conditions. Was a little preoccupied not trying to get run over by the UTA ski bus. My taco almost did by one of them though.

Edit: I really wanted to though. Not sure the Alta Marshall on scene would have been cool with me hamming it up when he was trying to get the scene clear.

I was a ski instructor for a couple of seasons and I drove a Honda back then. Not being an idiot I had snow tires. (and I know how to drive in the snow) Thanks for digging the guy out.

Maverik stations are all the rage in Utah (and elsewhere) right now. I like stopping in there over other convenience stores. One question I can't find an answer to is if Maverik gas has improved over the years and is considered "Top-Tier". According to toptiergas.com their brand isn't listed but I don't if it's been re-branded. I typically use Chevron, Shell, or Sinclair since they are close by. Even 7-Eleven (CITGO) is considered top tier now. I will occasionally put in maybe 1 tank in 10 of Maverik since they are right next to my work.

Nope, not Top Tier. But more and more Maveriks have Ethanol-free pumps, which I love for my small engines. And like you said - great convenience stores.

With "up to 10% ethanol" in fuel. Does it really matter anyway? Ethanol is so corrosive and cuts life out of motors not designed for it. In vehicles that are "Flexfuel" (E85 compatiable) everything that touches fuel has to be coated with teflon to stop the Ethanol from eating away fuel lines. So no, I don't think it makes a difference. and if you are concerned about it, just run a can a fuel treatment through a full tank every now and then.

I really don't worry that much about ethanol in my vehicles. I ALWAYS run Maverik's ethanol-free stuff in my small engines. My 2-cycle chainsaws, trimmers, and snowblower really notice the difference. I also put in a generous amount of Gumout Multi-System Cleaner in my 5 gallons container of ethanol-free. As for my vehicles, they get a whole bottle of stuff about every 6 months. My current vehicles have 26,000, 120,000, and 245,000 miles with no fuel related issues ever.

Maverik sells a lot of fuel and so it's pretty fresh which I'm guessing doesn't have a lot of water in it due to ethanol. I will still occasionally fill up with it but mostly use Chevron due to the detergent in being "top-tier".

Figured my fellow Utah natives would appreciate these pics. These were taken hours apart from each other with this last snow storm. Always nice to have an off road vehicle you can trust in Utah’s bipolar weather!

The shell isnt the best but it does hold out the water. I have had to reclue one of the front coners. I have used it for 2 years and hasnt gotten and worse. But 200 for the shell.
The drawer system is for a short bed. It doesnt slid in and out with out removing the top lid. The big drawer is about a foot deep 3 feet long and 2 feet wide.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a 05-15 MGM rear bumper if anyone has one laying around they want to get rid of, preferably in good shape. I had bedlined my chrome bumper years ago and finally bounced it off a rock today so it's toast. Lemme know if anyone has one they want to part with. May just upgrade to a plate bumper if I can't find anything by spring.

For those that were asking for a trail report from me from sand hollow.

Ran Maze today and holy hell that was fun and challenging. It fully meets its 8/10 rating with some of the optional and buggy lines definitely earning the 10/10 difficulty. Trail damage was just a scuff on passenger rear door and needing a few changes of underwear after almost tipping twice. Planning on heading back out tomorrow to run Double Sammy and I will hopefully get pics/ video sorted out sometime next weekIMG_1798.jpgIMG_1804.jpg

Looking for some info for you Utah guys! I'm planning a trip to Utah and AZ from Kentucky. I've marked quite a few things I would like to see, trying to plan my best route. I'm going down Colorado to hit Monument Valley and come down around to see Antelope canyon and Horseshoe bend around Page, AZ. After that I'm going in through the southern tip of Utah to see the Wave and Zion National Park. After Zion, I'm wanting to go up and Northwest to try to come back up towards Moab to go back the same way back home through Denver and head back East. What I'm thinking about is going up from Zion to see Grand Staircase and over to Moab. Any information or best route to take around that would be a ton of help for me! Thanks guys, looking forward to getting out that way! (The different colors are the route i'll be going.

This picture is some of what I have planned. I didn't know if there was a road to cut off from the East side of the Grand Canyon to Havasu Falls, so I may not be able to make it to Havasu if not. Also as you can see, I haven't planned the route from Zion and over yet. Working on that next so that's what I was wondering what would be the best route to wrap back around through Central Utah and back to Colorado!

    1. when is your trip planned? Snow/rain may interfere.
    2. Im too new to Zion to be much help, so Im following the responses.
    3. Holler when you get to Zion, we just moved here first week of January. We currently live in the park but will be in our new home sometime in March. Theres plenty of room at both places!

    From yesterday, in the driveway...
