My cross country partner is backing out so hopefully a few of you all are free around mid September. Would love to meet some fellow members and get out for a few days of exploring and camping.

I'll make time if its on a weekend. Just let me know when and where. Or if you are dropping by the SLC area, you can crash at my place, grab a real shower and replenish.

EDIT: @Cuffs camping meetup offer is pretty enticing.

Yeah i'll be in Zion as well. I may have to talk @Cuffs into showing me some cool places there too. I have to put in a lottery to hike the Subway next month I believe.

Yes, they said I could pick up at their store. But the shipping cost for the sliders from All Pro (not in direct stock) was $25 either way, to their store or to my house, so I opted to just have them shipped directly to me.. Was a win either way, saved at least $100-$150 on shipping. Also, the sliders were about $100 cheaper base cost thru them vs direct from All Pro.. score! Total was $545

I am torn... I will likely just build sqr as I already have the material ready to go, just need some frame brackets. I do like the look of those!

One of the reasons I love these square tubes is they also work great as steps, so they're double functional.

That was a reason why I originally wanted to go with sqr. That and its a better hi-lift jacking point then round.

My wife and I picked up an SR5 4x4 DCSB a couple weeks back. We headed out to the City of Rocks, it was extremely crowded so we decided to just wander around on the forest service roads up above the park. We found a fair bit of solitude and some nice gravel/dirt roads to explore. I have a 99 TJ wrangler that we used to take out that way but it got such horrible mileage and had such a small tank that we chose not to go exploring too much in the National Forest. The jeep is fun but the Tacoma is already getting far more usage. I think it is time to sell the Jeep.

Hey UT ladies and gents! I just installed BFG KO2 285’s on some 17” SCS rims w/ a 2” Toytec Boss lift. I am getting some rub and think I might need a CMC.

Any suggestions on a good shop to perform the CMC in SLC or surrounding areas?

I would also love to hear some suggestions/ideas/feedback on getting rid of the rub.

    Thanks in advance!!!

How the hell did you get your hands on SCS Ray10’s?

Edit: Midnight 4x4 did my CMC.

    And a photo.

Cut the mounts yourself with an angle grinder. Once you feel you've cut enough material out (no longer rubs), grab some relentless plates and weld them on.

    https://www.relentlessfabrication.com/products/2016-tacoma-cab-mount-chop-plates

A cut mount, without a plate welded on, is still structurally strong enough to hold up to daily driving. (I had cut mounts for months before I welded on the plates).

My welds look like a two year old did them.

Haha! Get that reminder set, use Google Chrome so it loads all your info in checkout, throw anything in the cart (t-shirt, lugs) so that your info is ready, and then just sit there like a maniac hitting refresh on the Ray 10 page. I also used PayPal at checkout so everything was set to go. I placed my order in 6 seconds and when I was done they were sold out. Crazy!

LOL! You’re like the 5th person to tell me that. It’s insane to think all to get a set of wheels. They need to up their production.

Have to say that if you need some tires, Best value wheel and tire is the place to go in SLC. I needed a new set of Toyo Open Country Mud terrains in a 255/85/16 size. They actually had them in stock. They were around $150 cheaper than Discount..Without the Wait!
