I’ve not done the trail myself. A guy at work told me about it. I Googled it and looked at the images. It looked reasonably good. Lots of rocks ant ruts. The vehicles in the images didn’t look overly modified.

I believe your truck would do just fine. I don’t plan on beating my truck to death just yet. I just barely crossed the 1000 mile marker.

I need to do some rework on the rear bumper. Not enough gap for the flex and is scraping paint.

I was just up Miller Hill today with the Expedition Utah group, and it was an awesome trail! Spotters and good lines led a stock Tacoma all the way to the top. I wasn't driving, I was shotgun in a friend's 80 Series Cruiser, and I watched the stock Taco do it.

Can't speak for Forest Lake or Mineral Basin, but Miller was rad!

Hmm, just watched a YouTube video of Forest Lake Trail. The trail looks fun as hell, but is narrow in parts and I’m not looking for pinstripes this early in the game.

The video was recorded on 6/7/2017 so there was still lots of spring runoff coming down the trail.

I’ll look into Miller Hill as an option.

@trdeez still interested in a trail?

Checked this thread last night before you posted. Not sure I’ll be able to do today due to some dinner plans tonight but next weekend or something?

For realz ... Kings all around with duals up front, glass fenders and bedsides, had some serious headers / exhaust, and I’m sure there’s lots more. He’s gotta be on TW somewhere right?

UTOR on FB seems to be a good place to identify trucks. Esp rigs like that.

I did about 100 miles offroad in the high Unitas today with the dogs. I sort of had a plan from google earth and maps, but I ended up at the Wyoming/ Utah Border. Where the "L-shape is" . Needless to say, there is nothing but sheep.. lol

    Trip Summary:

I took Hwy 150 from Kamas to Trail 058. It is by East Fork Bear River. I got off the highway and aired down.

I then took FR058 to FR059. I wanted to take trail 304, but the Trail map and the actual trail marker are listed differently for vehicle restrictions. On the Forest service map, this is 'Trails open to all vehicle types". When I got to the head of 304, it only had the quad sticker. I decided that this trail would be too narrow for my tacoma.

Needless to say, I turned around and went back to FR058. I followed it to the top of Elizabeth Pass. I found FR067 and there was not any trail designation stickers for any vehicle restrictions. I took this all the way to Lym Lake. I encountered several side by sides and two other vehicles. The trail was plenty wide for my 7' wide taco.

After this, I tried going to Meeks cabin Reservoir but I didn't feel like driving a basic fire road the rest of the way. I decided to turn around and head back to Hwy 150.

I went all the way back to Highway 150. I then took the road back south-west for a couple of miles until I saw a Mt. Whitney Sign ( after looking at my paper atlas for this state). I manged to stay on Mt Whitney road till I got to Chalk Creek Road that led me to the "L-shape" portion of the state. I was cautious about going on Chalk Creek. The road is a county road, but is private on either side. For a minute I thought I may have been trespassing until I stopped an read the signs. The road is tore up due to the logging but is in decent shape. I would not try this road after a rainstorm.

I did Marry Ellen Gulch in American Fork today. Fairly intense trail. Lots of loose rocks, big rocks and some shelf’s. Truck performed well.

Received a few pinstripes and some deep gouges in the new SR8’s faux bead lockers. That was kind of disappointing. Should’ve went with the 5’s. Oh well, too late now.

    Overall a good outing.

I’ve found a similar issue with the Utah Recreation and Off-road Trails Almanac regarding trail markings.

Looks like you had a good outing. I need to do something similar.

    Yea,
I am not sure why the FS map is different than the trail marker. You would think that the same agency that develops the maps would adjust the trail signs.

Dude, no worries. There are lots of trails to explore. Problem is that there isn’t enough time to do them.

I couldn’t find Miller Hill. I know I was close. Ended up doing Marry Ellen instead.

Is there a trail marker for Miller Hill?

Go all the way to the end on FR007, follow signs to Mineral basin. Then as soon as you go through the paver stone water crossing, take a left. There should be a reclamation sign and a sponsored by 'Expedition Utah' sign.

Exactly what he said! Once you get to the kiosk after you've taken the left, you'll see some shiny new metal signs that say Miller Hill trail. You'll follow the signs all the way to the top!

I must have drove past it at least twice - LOL!

I need the ability to zoom in on my Utah Off-Road Almanac. Or maybe learn how to read.

Has anyone got any install/work done by Jack It in west valley? Saw a review on FB about a guy who took his new ford in 30 miles later the wheel came off... was thinking about them for a full suspension install but want to hear more feed back if anyone has any with them?

I’ve had a couple tell me to avoid them. No personal experience with them.

I called them last week to see how much it would charge for an alignment. I do have a total chaos long travel kit on the front but there isn't anything special about the alignment. They quoted me $160... I hung up the phone. I finally had a Big-O tire do it after going to two others.

What sort of suspension are you looking for?
