I'm down. I got an overnighter with a few friends tentatively planned for one of the nights this weekend (I have Monday off) but I think we could go explore that train tunnel and the surrounding area one of the days this weekend.

Haha sounds par for the course. I'd try getting on their good side by spatting some anti-gun rhetoric ... that'd probably help :anonymous:

I did part of the Pony Express out there when we took the scout troop out to the Dugway geode beds. Washboards like crazy but it was pretty cool, like @Gunshot-6A said - worth doing once.

I prefer Bolt Center a little farther south, but they are a sponsor so I'm a bit biased.

I like the pony express trail, and have done it a couple of times. Its where the second part of this adventure happened
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rugged-fails-dont-fail-me-now.337416/

The geode beds are worth a stop if you're into that sort of thing.

Another fun trip is the driving the old transcontinental railroad bed. And, that's was were the first flat of the adventure happened.

Everyone enjoy that little rain shower we had last night? Just hope we keep seeing some more of it over the next week.

Saved me from having to wash my truck. Gotta love pulling out of my parking spot, and there is just a dirt ring surrounding a dry spot on the asphalt. #DustyBish

Hey peeps. If any of you want to help with the BOR race in Wendover this weekend, we are still looking for a few people to volunteer. Mainly the positions needed to be filled are "course monitor" which is essentially you get to park track side and make sure everyone is staying on track, and report any breakdowns. Super easy, and gets you a great view of the action. No recovery gear needed, and a basic tacoma would get you around the course to the monitor locations easily.

We also have a recovery position open, which is largely the same as the course monitor above the majority of the time, and a few people may need a tow off the race route onto the shoulder if something breaks (@P.Blackley...:anonymous:)

It would be best to arrive in Wendover Friday night. Free camping, and a great show of motos, quads, ATVs, up through unlimited buggies and trucks. The race goes all day Saturday, and you could boogie home that night, or stick around till the morning.

If interested, you can reach out to myself or @P.Blackley and we can hook you up.

Does anyone know where to buy a new drivers side visor? Mine stopped staying up so I unscrewed it and took it out.

I saw you got the tranny patched up. Looks like there some buttoning up to do still, but should be a good race this weekend!

You get your spares situation wrapped up?

I've got a few projects I'm desperately trying to wrap up before I leave on Friday. Most are done, but one the parts don't even come in till tomorrow. It'll be close.

I'm just hoping this weekend isn't gonna be a mudfest, but I have a feeling...
