So...you don't have to remove the tire and lift the truck up to make the height adjustment?

Nope. Just reach in, undo the collar, and give her a spin.

Although lifting it would def make it easier.

Wait - what? Utah has levels for motorcycle endorsements?

I've been thinking about getting a bike again, and I'm lusting after a Yamaha FZ 09 (847 cc). Back in college my only way to get around was a motorcycle, and I've missed having one ever since I sold it. Back in the day a Utah motorcycle endorsement had no restrictions. I took the test on a 90 cc trail bike at started riding a 750 right away. What are the requirement to get a motorcycle endorsement now?

If you do the class, its 649cc and lower. Then you can test up in increments. I think there's 3? like 650 down, 650-1000, and 1000 and over if I remember.

    That's a good looking bike! I have a Kawasaki Z1000.

If you test on something 651cc or larger, you're all set to ride any cc bike. If you test 650cc or under, you'll be 'limited' to exactly that, 650cc or under bike. But from my experience it doesn't matter. I've had a 1000cc bike for 2+ years now with my 650cc endorsement.

OK, I had to look it up. It's a bit more complicated but it seems to boil down to the size of the bike you take the test on.
    • If you test on a motorcycle/scooter 90 cc or less, you will be restricted to riding motorcycles/scooters 90 cc or less.
    • If you test on a motorcycle/scooter 249 cc or less, you will be restricted to riding motorcycles/scooters 249 cc or less.
    • If you test on a motorcycle/scooter 649 cc or less, you will be restricted to riding motorcycles/scooters 649 cc or less.
    • If you test on a motorcycle/scooter larger than 650 cc, you will not be restricted, you will be authorized to ride any size motorcycle/scooter.

Yup I've been riding motorcycles since I was 17 and I still have my Vulcan 900. It didn't sell this summer so maybe the universe wants me to keep it.

Quesidilla Mobilla food truck. You're welcome :D :taco:

What route are you taking to get there? There's a lot of good stuff just on the way TO Moab.

I never took the course, but I had been riding a motorcycle for awhile before getting my endorsement anyway. Sadly the only bike I had access to at the time was a 500 so I'm legally limited to 649cc's. I currently own a kx250 just need to find time to get it out and do a tune up on it... or sell it...

Prob not a bad idea to get some miles in before sitting for the riving test.

I got that vinyl cutter btw. If you or team 936 need anything done, let me know.

Awesome, I'll let you know as soon as we need anything cut out. And now that I'm thinking about it I still need to fix up a KE100 and completely rebuild my newly acquired kx60.

Route really isnt finalized yet for that very reason. Comin in from the southwest side on the 15. Already hit Bryce, Zion, and Capitol Reef. Will modify route once in Utah towards the most attractions.
