They don't disappoint! Few year back I watched a Mustang get airborne over a curb then bounce off a tree. He was showing off and hit some ice, it was AMAZING

Yes, you’re out of your f’ning mind, but then again it’s a sweet LC, and you really can’t go wrong with a Cruiser.

So...turns out if you go splish splashing in muddy pools of water, you can fry your alternator. :(

Upside is that I got almost all the way home to my place in Sandy from 5 Mile, and the alternator warming came on as I was getting off the freeway 2 miles from home. Made it all the way back with no issues. Pretty sure I used up all my good fortune on that one!

I used to think this was hilarious and just a stupid misspelling. Then just a couple months ago, I was listening to a news item on the tv and heard a guy say it. Literally he said ‘regerts’. I about fell out. The news anchors went on to mock it. So I’m wondering if there some segment of population that thinks that’s how it is??

Edit. Found it! FF to 1:30

Could be a local colloquiaism. Like the people in Utah that insist on adding an S to Zion NP for some reason.

I cringe every time I hear "we went down to Zions this weekend"

Get used to cringing because it's test to see if your a local or not. (JK) I had to google it because I don't think I've ever called it Zion NP. The next test from that part of the state is how say the name of Hurricane. The locals call it "Her-ah-kun", tourists say "Hur-i-cane" like a CNN reporter talking about the latest storm.

Makes me flinch every time I hear or read Zions. That’s a bank, not a park...

I learned day 1 the ‘correct’ local pronunciation of Hurricane (just down from where we bought). It’s also the British pronunciation. Early settlers from Liverpool were here. Folks from there have a name but I can’t ever get that right. Liverpooleans? Or some such weird word.
And it lives up to its name. The winds blow day and night, year round. Open the windows and there’s red sand dust everywhere.

    Stuff. Also things.
It is most definitely a local thing, and it was my life growing in St. George. The ‘s’ thing drove me nuts. ‘Snows’ Canyon was another one, for Snow Canyon State Park.

Even as someone raised in the area, I never called Hurricane, ‘Hrrackn’. It just felt way too weird.

Power steering pump, Steering rack, Tie rods, Radiator cap, Thermostat, New radiator, magnets to hold the fuel door closed, new starter drum/cylinder, dash lights changed to red, replaced all carpet in the cab. Not real “mods”, but all work
The next test would be proper pronounciation of creek, whether mountain has a “t” or not, Tooele, Nephi, and other cities haha.

I went through the same puddle as these guys...several times. I'm not shocked in retrospect.
