It was a good time! About an hour after I split from y’all, I was a just few miles from our old spot by the Swasey cabin when I got stuck in a deep snow drift covering the road. After about 15 minutes of digging my truck out, I decided it would be best to head back and set up the tent just off the temple mountain road.

Needles to say, I should probably invest in some traction boards

    Not much stock left.
Damn! Good thing you were able to get yourself out. Goo idea to play it safe after that experience.

No new dents but...other new issues now require attention.

I do not have the bushings and the seal yet. Should I get the install tool? I work on the weekends, so I will have to schedule a day off or see if they would let me go home early. Most likely this will have to wait til after your KoH trip.

Bottomed out the shock, broke the mount off (somehow I only spot welded one side when I installed it).

Ive seen most people just tap them in with a large socket. I have plenty of those Im sure I have one that will work. We can do it on a weekday when youre off. I telecommute so as long as nothing comes up I can shift my hours to accommodate usually. And if you dont have the bushing yet I highly doubt it will be here before I head out.

I work every day, I have 2 jobs. It would be better on the weekend but in the meantime let me get the bushing and seal ordered and I'll let you know when I have the parts in hand. If you are planning on replacing your needle bearing before your KoH trip and I don't have the bushing and seal then it's all good, no worries. I can always message you when you get back.

Its on my list to do but its not a rush. Mine isnt acting funny but I bought it anyway before the lift so might as well throw it in.

Definitely, my best runs of the season were my pre-public Gadzoom and Gad 2 laps on Monday. I was just watching some of my GoPro clips from that day and I still can't believe the number of runs I got in the few hours the bird was open for the day. Way beyond epic, words can't describe

Just a heads up on the job. Having a blind hold bearing puller tool is good insurance (since you can usually borrow them from an auto parts store for free). On my 2015, Toyota pressed the needle bearing in too far so the removal tool didnt have any room to slide in behind the bearing to pull it out. It was a pain, had to rig up the bearing puller to a ratchet strap and a sledge hammer to pop it out. Most haven't had the issue, but if yours was assembled at 4:30 on a Friday like mine seemed to have been...

On another note, rolling out to Moab area this weekend if anyone is planning on being in the area. Planning on camping/hiking/exploring. I've heard its muddy in some areas so we'll definitely be steering clear of that junk!

Yeah we did another taco when we did mine and that one was easy with the tool. But his CV clip didnt want to release and it took a lot of prying and banging to get it to pop loose. Without the blind hole bearing puller, I would've had to go get one or reassemble the truck and try again another time. Thanks Toyota.

Monica is too far modified to run in any class we could be competitive in down there. Perhaps in a different Toyota one day!
