I wish my truck had those push pads like the ARBs do. Could just give them a little nudge and be on their way rather than break out the shovel and stuff.

    Weekend media dump:

Took the truck down to Hurricane for Desert Brutality 2Gun 2019 with 2 of my best friends from my Virginia Tech days. Mainly as a way to celebrate Tim's return from an Iraq deployment 2 days earlier, and get the gang back together. Probably the hardest marksmanship event I have done to date. Took 9th of 15 in my class and 65/175 overall. Looking forward to doing it again next year!

Also got to meet @Cuffs for a quick minute finally!

I did a lot better than I expected. But I definitely have some things to work on. Like spinning targets...

There were 2 other stages that were more in line with that first video. Was just too tired to break out the phone and have a friend record them.

    Not much stock left.
Damn Virginia, that’s pretty good shooting. I’m impressed. Did you run all those at one time, or are they all separate events?

We’re did you get all the gear? You look like you’re part of the local militia. I know where I’m going when the apocalypse comes.

All kidding aside though, are you military?

It was 8 stages scheduled over 2 days. Some people ran all 8 in one day, which is pretty commendable.

Gearwise, I ended up with a lot of it when I was in college as part of the VT Corps of Cadets. We had a marksmanship team that went a little above and beyond making holes in paper. Just never had a reason to get rid of it afterwards.

While I used to work for a 3 letter agency, I am now your friendly neighborhood accountant. Job is a lot lamer, but I can actually pay the bills. Not gonna lie, I think about going back every once in a while.

Crye Precision uniforms are pricey. I do like them, just can't afford to cough up that much money for uniforms that will eventually get beat the hell up.

What plate carrier do you have?

I figured no S/C was a deal breaker enough for you. :burnrubber:

When my 100K powertrain goes out the window and I buy a house, I think a supercharger might be in my future.

    YESS you'll love it!

I mean I know our trucks aren't sports-car fast BUT the other day on State St a Maserati SUV just pulled up next to me at the light, and I just knew they were gonna jump it and try to merge in front of me. The Taco was slower BUT quick enough that they had to give up and get behind me :bananadance:

I have now. Would still rather have a 4 runner, but having a v8 option SUV is pretty nice. I imagine the Tundra LT front kits would work on it too since it is basically an enclosed tundra.

My biggest beef is they haven't changed the appearance of it other than the headlights the last 10 years. I would have rather had them drop the sequoia and kept the FJ imo
