    Never Enough
    My BURT BROTHERS experience:
As posted above I took my Discount Tire Direct Falken Wildpeaks AT3w to Burt Bros in Farmington this morning to have them mounted. They honored my Lifetime Alignment from Firestone with my proof of purchase. They were very busy for a Monday morning but I was in no hurry and they were honest about the time to complete the job. Right about 2 hours total.

    The BAD:
They over inflated them at 42 PSI. Rock Solid. Maybe they have to do this but it happens every time a shop touches my tires. WHY? In their defense I did not tell them a specific pressure. No big deal really just an observation.
I thought this was common knowledge but, the installer did not use the yellow dot to align with the valve stem for a starting point to balance the tires. The yellow dots are in different spots on all 4 tires and non of them very close to the valve stem. I don't think they even noticed the dots. They used a lot more wight than I would like. However, they are balanced and I have zero steering wheel shake or other issues. I drove for several minutes at 85mph and it was smooth and straight. I normally cruise between 65 and 75. My main worry is the weights coming off during off road driving. I will gorilla tape them down but still. I will tell them about the dots and have them remount them at my first rotation unless an issue arises.

    The GOOD:
All three people I talked to were very nice and professional. I even told them my ideal alignment numbers and they were willing to shot for them. They got very close. The Firestone stuff was easy. The place was busy but they looked to be efficient in getting all the customers taken care of. A whole lot going on... Moms with kids getting Oil Changes, an older man buying wheels for his duelly, a battery replacement, emissions, and much more. All the employees even took time to come say congratulations to a co worker and his wife when she brought in their new baby. A nice family atmosphere. A clean bathroom, WIFI, & free coffee to top it off.

Even though it is a bit out of the way and I probably passed 30 other tires shops getting there, I will be going back when my wife needs tires to show them support for honoring my Firestone agreement.

I've noticed that with shops, they inflated my tires up to 40psi and I felt every pebble on the damn road. Not sure why they think it needs to be that high.
