UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

Rained out for most activities this weekend. In-laws have a place up near Wolfcreek Pass so we decided to go for a scenic drive on our way home. Road is open but still a bunch of snow. Likely took a lot of work to get it open.



Was hoping to venture off the road near Soapstone, but got denied less than 200’ up the road.

Got a little further up Mill Hollow but soon ran into similar blockage.

Finally had some luck on the Iron Mine trail. Muddy, but manageable. Going to be a while before the Uintas are clear.


Managed to pick up a large stick between my cat and front drive shaft. Made it all the way to SLC, pulled it out in the driveway when I got home and found it. No harm beyond a missing sticker.

 

Had a good weekend with @DJB1, @Jiveydude and @Rockymtntacoma. No real intense off-roading, unless you count bonfires and alcohol.



Maybe we could get @Jiveydude and @Rockymtntacoma to post pics of their water crossing, that would be cool. If they don’t, then I will

Just moved to the SLC area. Looking for a shop for mods.

 

Nice! We were planning on heading to San Rafael swell this week but the lady is pretty sick. Thanks for the beta on uintas. Might check out iron mine for a close-to-home adventure

Went camping in Willard Bay this weekend! We went with my wife's aunt and uncle who just got a trailer, so it was fun hanging out with them, and seeing their kids enjoy camping. Solid reminder why campgrounds are not our thing though haha.

 

Nice Land Cruiser! There’s a guy who loves a few blocks from me with two and I’ve been trying to buy one off him for awhile haha. Also, how has the RTIC cooler been for you? Looking at getting one

 

Thanks! They're getting harder to find. I've loved the RTIC! I only have WalMart Coleman coolers to compare it to, but it's been awesome. Watch out for their ads on Instagram. I got it for 25% off, and free shipping.

 

Does that mean that you guys were in a campground at Willard Bay?

 

We were! Closer to the road, so bugs weren't bad, but you could hear the interstate.

 

Drove up Mirror Lake Highway today and has a little fun on Norway Flats rd. Also saw a moose. Pretty decent way to spend the day and had a free car wash (rain) on the way back through Park City.

 

Got a free hat at a Toyota sponsored event downtown SLC.

 

Looks like a one helluva good a$$ time.

 

How far did you go up? Might try to do a little drive this weekend with the fam.
