Good stuff right here. I like how you do it, and I’ve also had good experiences at MM.

Another vote for Russ’s from me, that’s The Place for sure.

I just replaced my carrier bearing and u-joints. Well... I first attempted the carrier bearing. I ended up breaking my Harbor Freight 3-Jaw puller. The U-joints are easy assuming you have a harbor freight ball joint press (its essentially a giant c-clamp). Just be careful when you press the new ones in and make sure the spring clip grooves are clean.

My drive shaft yoke that holds the carrier bearing on was frozen. As to not destroy the drive shaft, I ended up taking my Drive shaft to a mechanic that my friend recommended down in Provo. He charged me about $100 to replace the carrier bearing and u-joints. I brought him my two drive shaft sections.

He almost broke his bearing separator press pulling that yoke off. He said that he had about 5000 lbs of force on it to separate it and he still needed to tap it with a brass punch. Also, be careful if you clamp the shaft in a vise. Make some wood clamps that have a hole in them so you can grip the drive shaft. I think the drive shaft is 4" in OD or so.

Crazy what you find on KSL. The most Utah-iest thing you ever did see. It's a Crew Cab!

That is AMAZING, only in Utah!

@Gunshot-6A a good way to introduce yourself would be to go around with that offering to take the new neighbors' kids on a walk. Surely they'd appreciate it.

May need to win some hearts and minds after @MurphTaco 's adorable pupper decided to go bark at the neighbors last night.

Has anyone one here had any experience with american "pitbull" terriers? Been looking to adopt one. I've had australian shepherds in the past so i'm used to training constantly so i'm not worried about that. I'm more worried about their temperament mainly with kids, family etc. You always hear stories on the news but I know sometimes they don't portray the true story. Thanks for any insight!

I know quite a few people with pits. Some are absolute teddy bears, most are average dogs, a few are total bruisers. It seems to me that they just have a lot more range of personalities than say the Golden breed.

I think you just have to evaluate them on a dog by dog basis.

True. I just know that they're naturally more aggressive to other dogs. Might have to do some training with it on that front. I have family with other dogs and the last thing I want is that thing attacking another dog.

@MurphTaco's golden looks like an angel, any barking was probably just to tell people how wonderful they are and ask if they want to play.

My neighbor had the sweetest pit in the world. She was great with kids and other pets. Then one day in the front yard, the neighbor's cat was walking by and the pit snapped, bye bye cat. My opinion is they can be great pets but they've been bred for generations with instincts that will always be there, and if/when they kick in it's not just for a playful nip.

Not initially but after doing some research I might. You never know what the original owner put the dog through when adopting so that's my only real fear.
