UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

I done more research yesterday and see most of it is US 40. I thought there was a dirt road most of the way. I'm doing Hobble Creek to Strawberry Saturday, I'll let you know how it is.

Certainly. I’ve been looking at that area for awhile. And haven’t been down to that region at all this year.

 

I also want to get a group together to go and do hole in the rock trail (not road). Go down to Halls Crossing and then start the trail on the other side of lake Powell. Not sure how "difficult" it is. I think it is a lot of slick rock, but I assume just having a rear locker, some 33's and some decent spotting, the trail might not be that hard.

 

Me @Jiveydude and @H3llRid3r did hole in the rock in January. 33’s and a rear locker will get you through it, but I’d highly recommend high clearance bumpers and sliders, as there are some pretty technical spots. I’d definitely be interested in running it again if anybody wants to set something up.

 

@zscott I need to check out your supercharger & engine mods. Are you coming to the meet at @Gunshot-6A ’s house?

 

Hole-in-the-Rock Trail is epic! It took us in the neighborhood of nine hours to get in and seven to get out. As I recall, it’s about 25 miles long.

Is it still planned for the 16th? I am out of town from the 13th to the 19th so unfortunately I probably wont be there. Going to miss it, the Cruiser Outfitters BBQ, the UTOR Expo....

Yea, I definitely have HC bumpers and sliders. Since I have Long travel front and rear, I manage to get myself out of sticky situations. I have come across needing more ground clearance on occasion.. but its not enough for me to make the investment to 35's.

 

We will have to plan another one later in the fall. I have a decent garage anddriveway, and lots of tools (Tubing bender, welder, plasma cutter, small press brake, etc.) from my PRINSU days so if there is interest in a mod day I am happy to offer up my space and tools. I also am in Eagle Mountain so it is a short trip from there to some fun trails to screw around on at 5 mile.

 

Any chance you are skilled enough to completely cut off the cab mounts from the frame?

 

Yeah, in fact I have cab mount relocation brackets sitting on my shelf I am planning to install eventually.

You have the alpine designs one or another version?

 

Yes, the Alpine Designs.
