UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

I'm having a really hard time deciding on where to go this weekend... @Gunshot-6A, you still for Idaho? Anyone else have any ideas? Uintas? Was already planning a camping trip for this weekend, then I found it was labor day...

 

Just a heads up if you like to go to the Crystal Lake/Trial Lake up on Mirror Lake Hwy....it's a shitshow up there now. I was up there camping last Friday and like to do the Clyde lake loop to fish..but my god. You have to park like 2 miles away from the trailhead and the camping spots are all taken you have to drive high and higher to find a place to camp.

I need a new place to start going up there.

 

I decided to stay closer to home. Maybe get some mountain biking in.

If you wanted to make a saturday afternoon to sunday morning trip out to knolls and go play in the dunes, I could be down with that. 1.5 hours each way.

Welcome to town! What part of the city? Very least we could recommend a lunch spot or somethin.

 

Close to the airport. Went to squatters yesterday, pretty good brew there.

 

I'm going to see if I can find somewhere secluded in the mountains.. Not looking good though, dunes might be the bet. Although I bet its a Zoo out there too?

It's hot enough during the day it may scare people off. It was dead quiet out there the last few times I have been out there, but not on a holiday weekend. Good news is it is a big enough area, there's always a secluded spot. Most of the people have big RVs so they stick close to the gravel road. We aren't restricted as much.

 

Anywhere this weekend is going to be a zoo unless you go out of state lol. I'm just staying home since it will be like a ghost town with everyone gone lol

Red Iguana is unique and unbeatable if you want a great food spot. Or at least hit up the Cafe Rio in the airport if you're headed out around dinner time.

 

Bonus points for Market Street bar.

Ugh, it's sooo good. I'm rarely downtown so I just dream about it ... if they put a location near Sandy I'd be there twice a week.

 

Same! When I pick up buddies from the airport thats what we end up having for lunch/dinner then just crave it the next few days hah

 

I passed the Philadelphian yesterday and remembered about you talking about it. May have to go hit it for lunch one day.

 

The Philadelphian is unreal. I've had Geno's and Pats and the philadelphian is as close as you'll get around here. Blows Moochies out of the water IMO.

 

Fat Boy's just north of fashion place is really good too. Man-date lunch to Philadelphian tomorrow or late next week?

 

Lets do it. Been a while since I've been there, right up the street from my office too.
