If you're going to go bypass, optimizing the dampening control should be priority. If you want to optimize the travel, go with a smooth body and send it. There's no point in spending them money on a bypass if you're not going to use all of the zone control.

I'd be interested in your old Kings if you're willing to ship. :boink:

This is too generic of a statement IMO. I would say it depends on the type of terrain being traversed, driving style of the user, and the type of shock.

If you're comparing a OE fitment shock to a relocated shock then I can agree with your statement. If you're comparing the differnce between 2" of usable travel then most people will likely not even notice the difference. If you're comparing a bypass in a relocation, 12" vs 14", then the zoning becomes the big concern and I would recommend setting the zones up correctly over gaining 2" of travel. A bypass won't benefit you if you're not utilizing the zones properly.

I didn't have breakfast...does that make it better? Also, it was asked that I do.

We'll figure out a day. Ryan still owes me a trip to Lone Star. Next week is pretty crazy for me, but maybe the week after.

I agree. What I was getting at is in my experience a relocated 14” shock (assuming 14” of travel is used) no matter how tuned it is will function better than an 8” shock in the factory location regardless of tuning.

Now a 14” bypass that isn’t properly setup vs a 14” smoothie that is also not properly valved, yeah you won’t tell the difference.
