HAHA. I have seen many. I made a "capture frame" that surrounds the tent and I can hoist it into the garage rafters when not in use. I use my truck as a truck for home projects and stuff so I need the bed. Sometimes I want to go wheelin with just tools and gas.

Last week I fixed her. I managed to put a decent bevel on the pieces. I also added some grease fittings to my shackles. I went to 5 mile on Monday and did some light wheelin to make sure the weld didn't crack. I just got the new bracket today. I will weld it on this winter or just leave it. :anonymous:haha.

Also, If your rear pinion seal is throwing oil onto your gas tank, check your diff breather filter (if you have one). My filter was a cheap check valve and wasn't opening and over pressurizing my diff. That saved me from having to replace that seal!.

Seems like a good time for a breather extension to the taillight. Prob just got gunked up enough it couldn't cycle.

It is already extended up to my shock cage. It was the filter that is on the end. I think ill get another style filter.

Yes. It was a zoo. Luckily the taco is more capable than most vehicles you see in AF, so it was a piece of cake to get away from the crowds.

Went up early Friday so missed a lot of it. When we came down on Sunday I thought I was at Hogle. Cracks me up seeing the places people take their little Camrys and Pontiacs. We saw one PAST the river crossing above Silver Flat.... :der:

About a month or so ago, I found an old couple in a buick up near Whitney Resi in the Unitas. They were looking for some boy scout camp. The trail was pretty rutted and muddy and I was surprised to find them that far along the trail. Luckily they were going back to the main dirt road. They showed me a very crude hand drawn map that they were trying to follow. I had no idea where they were going. I showed them my delorme atlas and we tried looking for this camp. You will be surprised on how far a sedan can get.. ha!

If you've ever been to Africa or parts of South America, you'd know how true that statement is.

Hey does anyone have a full height rack they are trying to get rid of? I keep thinking my tent might work better up over the cab. Also does anyone know if a standard tracrac will mount up or does it need custom mounts. Pic for attention.IMG_20190615_201457.jpg

No, was just amazed that @Kpatt9 was able to find a spot on what’s usually an extremely busy time.

Guilty! But I have used it once or twice. I have witnesses. And yes, it’s the manual, so it is a requirement.

I think I'll pass 100 nights in the tent(s) since acquiring one next outing if I did my math right.

We did some pretty gnarly off-roading to get to both of our spots. Getting to the spot in the pic had me clenching a bit, hahah.

I know that spot where you were at! It's a super fun trail to get to it. I haven't done it in the Cruiser, but I did it in my 1st gen, and I remember the pucker factor being pretty high in some places haha.
