Saw this today and thought it was a legit new option for license plates, love the black on top.
It's not on the DMV site so I guess it's just someone who wants to get pulled over for modifying his plate :notsure:

Still waiting for the black plate that they determined was "too hard" to make reflective.

Ya know, like the one that at least 7 other states have had for years no problem. Utah sucks at the ability to just "copy paste" from other states that have a good thing going.

Reflective road markers for rainy / snowy days? Too hard

    Black plates? Too hard

3.2 beer going away, so we must panic? Too hard, gotta create our own legislation.

 Visiting from Washington state and I have to say, this place is beautiful! Alcohol laws are a little strange but that’s easy enough to work around. Other than that I love it here

Hey everyone! Just wanted to throw this out there. I have a complete light bar kit made my Spartan X Customs that I purchased new 7/2019 but have yet to get around to installing it. It is the stealth edition bumper light at 31". Comes with wiring, OEM button, Cali-raised brackets. Would be interested in selling if anyone is interested. I paid $400 shipped, but am willing to let it go for $300.

If not one is interested, then I may just install it. I'm located in SLC and will only sell local-ish.

    Let me know! Thanks.

Welcome to Utah. Yes, the liquor laws are bit strange, but not as strange as some places I’ve been. The biggest downer is that you have to go to the liquor store to get the good stuff, so you have to plan accordingly.

Just out of curiosity, did you come for the football game?

No we came to visit some of the National parks. I’ve never really left the PNW (we live right outside mt Rainer national park) so it’s crazy to me that everything isn’t green  we just spent a couple days at Zion and now we’re going to head towards Bryce Canyon, and then drive north from there up towards Moab and hit the parks on that route

Gotta say all the pictures I’ve ever seen from here don’t do it justice. It’s a must see in person

Glad you came to see it's glory! Although the PNW has a magical experience all it's own. Love going back to visit. Looking forward to my trip to Bellingham for thanksgiving!

Virginia and a lot of southern states you have to go to the ABC store as well. Only real difference is the draft vs bottle beer thing.

At a bar if its in draft it has to be 3.2 but in a bottle it can be whatever.

    Roger.

I don’t get hung up on the alcohol content. lt’s more about the flavor of the beer. Besides, if it’s a bit lower, then you can drink more :drunk:

What’s the deal with bars? I can’t go grab a beer without ordering food? What if I’m not hungry?

Also haven’t seen a single sign for a bar. They’ve been call tavern, pub, brewery.
The closest I’ve seen was “barn and grill”

Edit: can brewery’s serve more than 3.2% in a draft? How else could you have an IPA?

There arent many proper bars. More restaurants. Beerhive is a good pub style bar. Beer Bar if you are more into the 20 somethings social scene

I’m early 20’s so I’m fine with that scene but salt lake is a ways from me. Don’t think I’ll be passing through there again this trip. I’m assuming you still have to get food in those places?

At ”bar” bars you do not need to get food with purchase, though you must be 21 to enter. Anyplace else that sells alcohol is licensed as a “restaurant” (even if it looks very much like a bar) and may only sell said alcohol with food. Even the breweries (depending on the license). Look for the stupid Microsoft Word sign taped on the window to tell this difference.

Yes, it’s slightly absurd, even more confusing, and bad for business owners... but, something-something, think of the children... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hey, at least we’re stepping up to 4.0 in... November?

We went to a brewery and I was surprised we had to order food but good to know there is “bars” in some places, I’ll keep an eye out.

One more question, are breweries limited to 3.2% draft as well?

Not trying to harp on the laws down here I’m just trying to understand them more
