    You guys this is INSANE

My friend was at Big O getting tires put on a trailer and said it sounded like a car was crashing when it pulled in.
And older gentleman got out of the minivan and told the employees his car was making strange noises.
He had tires on the other side and when they pointed out the passenger side he said,
"Oh, I didn't notice. I don't get in on that side."

There's no replacement for (water) displacement
My bathroom had the original '70s shower head and that thing puts out SO much water. I replaced it with a newer one but kept the old one ... I wonder if there's a black market for non-EPA faucets or whatever ...

You had the best of both worlds. Low flow and high power washer pressure. Hahaha!

If you google that CNN headline, it comes up and it has the full quote. If you understand his hyperbolic manner of speech, it isn't out of the norm. Just clickbait. Move along.

The point he was making was that low flow appliances mean you cycle them multiple times to achieve the result one solid flowing appliance would, so perhaps it is net worse.

I actually had a similar thought about those flimsy AF paper towels and single ply in commercial bathrooms. I would love to see the PV/I determination on that. Some say it is actually for the buildings plumbing capacity, but you see big ass apartment complexes where they def don't mandate single ply.

Right? We're relegated to single ply at work due to a poorly designed sewer system. It takes a while to sit and weave an entire roll into something thick enough for a couple swipes.

My last job had god awful TP. Bad enough that I brought my own roll from home. Only downside is it telegraphs your intentions from a mile away.

could be worse. had an office where there weren't enough stalls for the men...you had to super time your bowel movements or start doing the walk around the 3 available levels to find an empty stall. :/ needless to say, when we moved into a new building, our company specifically asked the designer for extra stalls in the restrooms.

Only reason is because it kind of looks like it, and I know the owner. I'll ask him.

Apparently it was a few years ago. Kent (the owner) was there. He said there were little rings of the bead still on the rims. As the guy drove around on the flat tires, the rims cut through the rubber until they came off.

While I like being able to get away with a cracked windshield for far too long, THIS is why I am a fan of basic safety inspections. Especially as we come into the snowy months and I see the threadbare tires on the road.

And then there's those folks who ignore the laws regarding 4x4/tires/chains in the cottonwood canyons......

Yep, help pull a few out going down the mountain every good pow day it seems. At least UPD is stepping up enforcement (marginally). They were out there 2 weekends ago when we got the good snow.

That's the part that really surprised me ... this happened back when safety inspections were still a thing o_O

OK, yeah, thats even worse. Unless it was relatively recent between inspections. Running on a flat wrecks tires quick. "Snakebites" where the rim bead slices the tires are semi-common in MTB.
