I'm on the wtt4r page but those are all mostly payment princesses. A lot on the UTOR page but would like to meet up with some of the peeps from this page.

I'm sure we could toss together a TW meet.

I had to leave the WTT4R page for that reason. Plus they didn't like me pointing out some basic facts after "the incident" last year.

Apparently the playa has a foundation much deeper than most, so the 4runner would just keep sinking until it was gone gone.

It's funny you say that. I've told new toyota owners that WTT4R is an okay page but UTOR is definitely more sane. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels taht way.

as sad as it is to see your vehicle go....I think the best way to view this is as...."new fun project!"

Bummer about the truck, but great news that you don't have to fight gremlins for the rest of its life.

If they had gotten their act together like a month ago, I totally would have sold you mine to move to a GX, but I decided to keep my truck.

I agree, plus it looks like I'm gonna get a pretty solid payout so that should soften the blow.

All good, no worries. Revenge for the Tepui ;)

Saw you liked it, I'm thinking either 5th gen 4runner or late 2nd gen taco. Leaning towards the 2nd gen because truck bed.

If I needed to carry people more than I carry things I'd go the T4R route. But the truck bed is SO nice to have when you need it. If you can find a Pro that's the last & best of the 2nd gen. Honestly even if money wasn't a factor I can't think of any vehicle I'd rather have as my daily driver and all-around favorite. I love it.

This same line of thinking is why I didn't go GX.

Wouldn't be opposed but I get all sorts of nervous flying 1000 miles to buy without looking at it first. I trust a good portion of the members here but you never know.

How often do you boys use the rear locker? Is it a necessity? I just found a sport that is perfect...

I have used it once...for 10 feet. Based on what I know of your camping adventures, you and I are very similar.

I've used the stock rear locker in my 3rd gen......thrice? once for kicks and giggles so i know how to use it...once at hell's revenge...and once when I got super stuck but it didn't help me becuase i was high centered. had to dig the thing out anyways.
