A few months ago, our ops manager had his honda break down in Moab. A coworker and I went down in his truck to trailer it back. Def a long day, yet very little actually done.

Lol, thanks for checking. They're saying they aren't going to cover the tent and bedrack now... so we are now in dispute again. Fucking comical at this point.

Why?.....is it because you don't have the receipts?

Nope, I have all receipts. Some bullshit excuse about not being for "day to day use" on the truck or something.

Dude I don't even know, I'm at a loss for words at this point. They told me it was all covered for the last 2 1/2 months and then corporate calls me to settle on the actual payout amount and they say its not. The initial claim date was 10/19/19. Still no resolution and no check.

Keep being noisy, don't let up on them. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Definitely don’t give in to their excuses, make some noise!

End of 2018 I had to deal with Allstate for a minor accident. Wasn’t my fault and had dash cam evidence which showed the other driver was a liar and 100% at fault. The insurance adjuster I had to deal with was awful and tried to get out of every little payment she could manage. I only had to deal with the adjuster for about a month and a half but I eventually turned a profit.

    Hang in there!

Man....that is some scandalous BS from the insurance company. If I was you I would shop for a new insurance company while you're looking for a new ride.

Dare I ask which carrier you have?

Gonna have to call USAA and ask some questions now.

Any chance you have it in writing that they said they would cover it?

That was really the only reason I won in the end against Allstate. I caught the adjuster in a lie and brought it back around to her superiors through the complaints department.

I know the circumstances are kind of apples to oranges but I’m rootin for you!

So here's the deal. IF you get screwed out of your tent, I have a proposal.

You can buy the poles and base for tepui's separate:

    https://tepui.com/products/replacement-tent-base-for-3-person-tents

    https://tepui.com/products/window-and-rainfly-rods

Then all you need is the soft fabric part. I just so happen to have an entire spare kukenam ultralight in my downstairs storage because reasons. I can mount that new one on my tent, you can have the slightly faded one currently mounted on my truck on your base, I clean some clutter out of storage and you save a ton of coin.

That comes to about half the cost of a new kukenam 3 all in.

Who knows, it might be me trying to re-piece together my truck again next week. Karma is a very real thing.
