These shocks dont fit anything i own, i got them as a trade for a welding job i helped someone with back in CO. I am hoping to fix them up and sell them to make a little extra cash. Any idea what Midnight might charge for a couple basic 2" bodied shocks?

No idea. For my 2.5x16, I think they quoted me $175 per shock, and then plating was ~$50 per shock. Pretty competitive to sending my shocks to the So Cal FOX factory. I am just glad I didn't have to figure out how to ship those bypasses.

I also needed some new rod-ends, so those are probably $20 ea.

I'll throw these away before spending half of that on them. :bananadead: Thanks for the info!

Fair enough. Still cheaper than a new set. My 2.5x16, tripple bypasses were around $1700 new for the pair. One of the main reason why I haven't added a bypass to my front long travel kit. The 2.5x8" bypasses are the same price.

Since my truck isn't a race truck, spending $350 every 2-3 years on shock rebuilds isn't too bad. You can rebuild them yourself, but the 3-tube bypasses are a little complex when it comes to reassembly of the internal floating piston. Plus I don't have a nitrogen, Shock vise jaws (Normally $100 by themselves), Shaft fid (screws onto the end of the shaft for reassembly).

O-ring kits are like $30 (per shock). Oil is another $50 or so. When you break it down per shock with all the parts, $95/hr for the maintenance isn't too bad. Most mechanics are $90/ hr. I think it is reasonable to think each shock should take about an hour to disassemble/ reassemble/ clean.

You could re-build your shocks, and then maybe up-sell them for a small profit.

It isn't even a month with the shutdown and I have seen several car commercials offering 0% interest... Imagine the deals this fall..

I heard a VW commercial offering 0 interest, no payments for 3 months...and they'd pay your rent/mortgage for 3 months...made me raise an eyebrow.

Don't have anyone I know. When we bought our house, the inspector we used was a total joke. We bought a house from 1950 and it pretty much remained un-changed since then. The main point the guy made was the Asbestos Tape that was used to seal the HVAC ducting.

Since then I have replaced all the water pipes/ electrical throughout the house under my basement remodel project.

Basically, if you are pretty handy and understand construction/ how to do stuff, I would not pay for an inspection. Some inspectors get really picky about random small stuff that is not important.

Just make sure the house doesn't have a gas fired appliance in a living space (bedroom, bedroom closet)). Before we bought, we saw two homes with gas water heaters in bedroom closets (you can have an electric water heater in a living space). If there is a basement with a bedroom, make sure the egress window is up to code (including the window well). I have seen many homes in our neighborhood that have egress wells that are way to small for a firefighter to enter with full gear.

Also, make sure the house doesn't have any large cracks in the foundation or main wood beams. We saw one house that had the porch sagging and it was visibly noticeable.

    Agree^^^

I’ve had multiple inspections done between the 2 houses I’ve owned over the last 15 years and refinancing as rates plummet. Pillar to Post was hands down the best one I’ve used.
