There is already talk about something more towards october-ish when it starts to cool down again. Even this early in the year, it was starting to get on the warmer side at times.

I'm planning to do more camping/travel type things throughout the summer, as I'd like to run the Pony Express over two days, as well as the Transcontinental Railroad and visit ghost towns up that way. Even though either of those could probably be done in a day, it doesn't leave much time to see the sights and I dont like to feel rushed. Maybe even do something out of the state as well. Of course I plan to be up in American Fork Canyon as much as possible as well as soon as it opens up, camping friday nights at either Forest Lake, Mineral Basin, or any place else that looks worth while.

I've used Advanced Powder Coating in Utah County (Pleasant Grove) and been really happy with their work. They have pretty good pricing as well.

Awesome....thanks. I've got some Avid sliders coming in soon and it sounds like they should be able to handle them no problem.

A lot of Farmington Canyon is unpassable at the moment I've heard. They've had some slides near the farmington side and have completely blocked off a chunk on the bountiful side due to some other damage.

Snow is quickly disappearing. You pretty much need to go above 9k feet in order to get any real snow.

Mona in the Pole Canyon might be a good choice to go check out. It is a bit far south though (meaning its a bit of a drive + it might be melted due to the temp difference). You can read more about it http://www.teraflexplus.com/community/maps-and-gps-coordinates/mona-pole It is one of those on my list...

Sound like our next meet maybe?

Well, the trail used to be open 365, but from what I'm reading, that may no longer be the case and it might be blocked off. I'll have to do some research on it I suppose.

Keep me posted I would be interested. How is your blue Toyota doing? Did you get that carb working right?

Even a trip to the Jacob City ghost town might be fun...

To my Utah peeps I saw this 2nd gen custom bumper on KSL today. Thought it looked pretty good. Not much for function but does have some nice styling.

that is a really interesting looking bumper, but maybe I just dont know how the angles are on the 2nd gens.

I need to take the blue truck out and test her again, as I was able to rebuild the rear diff and replaced the welded gears with a lockright, but haven't been able to actually test the carb yet. These last few weekends have kinda sucked for my time, and this next weekend probably isn't going to be any better.

If you wanted to go hit Jacob City or something, I'd be taking the black truck due to the distance, but I'd be willing to do that this sunday, or anytime if you wanted.
