I guess what I was getting at was that BLM managed land is open. In Tooele county it "Directs individuals to avoid discretionary travel, shopping trips (other than shopping for food and other essentials), and social visits."

But the grey area is traveling to BLM lands. Some might argue that you could go to the west desert, and not be violating the order but still probably shouldn't be done.

Lots of people went to Knolls last weekend, and lots of people are going to Little Moab and 5-mile.

Front axle to back axle is roughly 6 feet. Get all four corners lifted at once!

Hell, the massive Alta HS parking lot is empty. We could have an appropriately distanced meetup. Buncha high schoolers been parking their cars in a circle and have a tailgate pow wow almost nightly. Pretty brilliant actually.

I just switched from pelfrey skid set to bamf. Pelfreys are great but bamf are serious biz. Alot more weight but rocks dont have a chance, lol. I did my reroute where the stock goes and wrapped with the lava rock muffler wrap. Have wrap on dirtbike pipe also and is great and doesnt hold moisture and rust like regular wrap.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate your willingness to take my credit card and buy whatever you see fit. My overall plans for the truck would be an overland/adventure/whatever the hell you want to call it build. I've been looking at a ton of options for the truck and want to do things right and not waste my time and/or money with the project. Also, I'd be down for a meet up once this dumpster fire of a pandemic calms down to have a few beers and look at what you guys are running on your trucks. thanks for the help again, let me know who I can send my credit card over to...

Kpatt9 Granduer peak is one of my favorites, if you're looking to breath some fire for an hour and a half take the west rib route. trailhead is at the end of the circle once you turn off 33rd and I-215, go up to the school and take the first left and head to the end.

So you have the re route? What is so different from stock in order to fit the bamf plates? Looks like the cross tube isn't crushed like the stock one is? When I used to ride dirt bikes, I would wrap the headers with that style of tape. Stuff is awesome. Also, where did you get your reroute done. Have any pics?

Can you post pics of how flat the bottom of your truck is? No one has side pics of this. I will order my set but probably won't get them till June/ July...

I did the reroute, cut it just behind the cat and used smaller single wall tubing then wrapped with dei ti wrap. The stock pipe is dual walled and crushed but still sits low as we all know. I used the stock routing just pie cut pieces to change the angle to tuck closer. To fit any skid plate without the bump you have to reroute exhaust. Look up reroute here on tacomaworld and u will see what others have done. I might have some more pics of how I did it.

Everything others have said, but also... I'd re-iterate that your stock truck (especially with KO2s) can do everything you're talking about. If you want to start adventuring further off the beaten path, I personally would emphasize recovery gear first. Get some traction boards, snatch strap, recovery points, shovel, etc. It's not a fun mod, but it's far more important.

Also, driving your truck off road will help you figure out what order to do things. If you're not scraping the body/chassis at all then you won't really need skids but you may want a better ride and go for a suspension upgrade. If you're happy with the ride but find yourself cutting it close on damage, then you can add some skids and sliders (though that's gonna add weight and you'll end up doing your suspension). If the truck is handling it all like a champ then you can just put some money in to a better camper setup (though that's gonna add weight and you'll end doing your suspension).

Garfield, Carbon, Emery, and San Juan counties have all lifted restrictions on public use. It seems like the only place that's still restricting public use is Grand County. So no Moab trips but all else is fair game now, as long as you still practice social distancing.

Yeah I agree that BLM is/has been grey area. Hard to tell what's official and what isn't. I think Grand County is the only one still restricting dispersed and primitive camping.

I was just mentioning that DNR map because it was easy to confuse as covering all public land, but it is just for state parks.

Any recommendations on auto shops that specialize in alignment? (Preferably a short drive from the Liberty Park area of SLC).

I just ordered Light Racing SPC Adjustable UCA's. Tired of seeing uneven wear on outside of my treads. My lift is sitting at about 2" (OME 886's + winch + skids + sliders).

Anyone have good experiences with shops installing lifts in Salt Lake City or surrounding areas? Would love to hear your input

Well finally got my exhaust re-route completed! All my skids are installed and truck sounds just like before (which I was very concerned about).

Anyways, Master Muffler in Kearns treated me very well. I sat around during the process and the welder (Riley) was very inclusive and brought me to his bay three separate times to ensure I was satisfied with his thoughts on the process and to ensure it was satisfactory. It was 250$ for the job which was a tad higher than I wanted but the work is great and he had to deal with some caked on dirt I had so no big deal. I'll post pics tomorrow when its light out.

Overall I would suggest master Muffler in Kearns for sure! Hopefully if any of y'all use them for this same job it will be cheaper, they had never done this before but listened to me thoroughly and we're very accommodating.

Anyone have any beta on 5mile pass? looking to head out there on Sunday for some wheeling and shooting and wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions/wanted to meet out there? To my understanding its still open as state parks are still open but wanted to double check with the group.

I've heard that half the state of Utah is at 5 Mile. Might be best to hold off going there for a while.

There was a lot of traffic this morning on the way in to work. I also noticed that the pollution we've all come to love about the valley is returning as well. Oh yeah, I also notice a passenger plane in the air.
