hmmmm. has GJ been going crazy? I haven't paid attention to them. :/ All this covid shit is making me go crazy. I'm honestly tired of it all. But I understand, everyone's just trying to make the most of it.

Oh yeah. The 18 Road party ditch has like 100 billion people in it every weekend. Standing room only from what I see in the MTB reports from western CO. Even Rabbit Valley is swamped when its normally dead quiet out there.

Rode down to Hurricane and through Zions NP on the motorcycle. Would have been much more comfortable in a Tacoma but it was incredible to ride through the empty park before things had opened back up.

For folks wondering about Moab camping... NPS is reopening Arches and Canyonlands on 5/29.

Everything I've heard has tied primitive camping to the parks' reopening. Devil's Garden and other park campgrounds will still be closed, so there may be an additional delay... but I'd expect primative areas open ~5/29 unless something changes drastically.

I've now used up all of my free service coupons from buying the truck at Ken Garff. I'll do basic oil changes myself, but I don't really have time for anything more than that these days and I need some brake service. Any recommendations for shops in the downtown SLC area for general maintenance?

Front Brakes or rear brakes? We swapped out @Kpatt9 's front pads faster than we could do his oil change a couple months later.

Front. I've never had drum brakes before, but I assume they need very little servicing. My trucks only got 50k on it.

The hardest part about changing front brakes is jacking the truck and removing the front wheels.

That said, Larry Miller downtown does great dealer service.

Hell, if you get whatever pads you want, I'll put em in in your driveway and we can go hit bobsled afterwards. 50K means your rotors are totally fine as is, but swapping those out only takes like 5 mins a side as well.

Rear drums are def low maintenance. 100Kish is when you might want to inspect them.

I do also need to change my oil and probably do some other general checks. Really it comes down to how I value my time with a 9 month old, more work than normal (I work in clinical lab testing, so we're busy these days...), and wanting to spend my free time playing/relaxing. I'll call the stealership and see what they'd charge.

Really appreciate the offer @Gunshot-6A and we should definitely hit bobsled either way!

Wow, barely any miles on that. They’d get the $20k if it was a California truck. Looks to me like an east coast vehicle that got a frame swap. Rusty brackets in the engine bay, rusty, fuel door latch, overspray everywhere underneath from the rattle can... I guess I’ll pass.

Tried to run the VIN to see where it was first registered. Didn't find that, but this made me laugh. I tend to agree with all those rust indicators.
