Would I have any issues trying to register an out of state first gen tacoma, solid axle swapped on leafs with a home built front section of frame if one were to hypothetically move to the SLC area? Are there vehicle inspections there outside of emissions?

They’ll probably care if your tires are sticking out passed the fenders

Emissions are what the state cares about, no safety inspections performed for tags anymore, but the cops may harass you over stuff like tires, mudflaps, etc depending on the area.

The SAS and rebuilt frame won't be issues. Tire coverage (flaps and flares) will be. Same thing with frame height. The good news is I believe you only need to do the safety inspection when first registering it. HP may get you outside of that, but it's no longer yearly.

Its bumper and frame ride height legal here so I should be good then. Evrey bro Dozer or JK sits higher and looks more obnoxious.

Dont get your panties in a wad evreyone just doing some zillow future places to live research LOL. I'm one of the good ones.

Safety inspections are only req'd on salvage title and commercial vehicles upon entry into the state

Thanks for those that recommended the Big O in Sandy for alignments. I installed SPC UCA’s yesterday and got an alignment at the Big O this morning. I got things pretty close before I took it in, so it was basically a toe-and-go for them. Numbers are basically what I was after. Drives nice, like the increased caster. I was at 1.6/1.9 before UCA’s, like the feel of 3.6/3.9 so far.

They were good to work with, let me go to the rack and discuss with the tech what I wanted before they started. After he had initial numbers, he had me come back out to the rack and discussed options. I got the 3 year alignment deal so I can go back (up to 4 times a year) when I get new tires and dial it in if I have rubbing. Planning to go with 255/80/R17 for the next set or tires.

DM me the last 6 of your VIN, and I can check and see! I heard that they are opening some of the recalls, but not sure!

Is backing into a gooseneck trailer better than a Walmart shopping cart? Got some free sod out of it but uhhhh keep an eye out for a black tailgate while you guys are lookin for the white one. Should have aimed for the taillight.

This^^ I can confirm. It is $125 to be exact. No mudflaps and tires sticking out past the sides, that is.

Not me. I’m heading up in a few weeks to ride the Hiawatha trail, play golf, and do some fishing. If they don’t close the state due to cooties.
