It's just a lot of land for one person to own when it will never get used by them most likely. When there are so many of us who would love to go camping and offroading on it, putting it to use VS it not being touched because somebody owns more land than they know what to do with you. You're right though, it's their land and they can do whatever they want with it, but that's just my thinking on the matter.

I have no idea. They very well might! I was just imagining somebody owning like a million acres and marking it all off as private property up in the mountains somewhere with nothing being used on it.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with people owning private land, just when they have so much and don't let the public enjoy it at all if they aren't using it is what I'm saying - but again, it's their right to do that if they want to, just shitty.

But If you owned land would you let every random person on it? I’ve been all over this country and seen enough trash, torn up campgrounds, rutted up roads from yahoos on atvs and dirt bikes torn up meadows, etc to know damn well if I owned a big piece of property I wouldn’t let anybody on but people I knew.

plus you’ve got it lucky, Utah has 64% public land. Consider Places like TX that has 99% private land.

So are you upset that there aren't roads all over it for you to use as you wish or just upset cause you don't think some people need that much land for grazing? Ever think that maybe wildlife shelter there when the many are pounding every road or trail around? There are different meanings of the word use.

The general public is a group full of assholes with no respect for other people’s things. We make hunters pay a 2500$ trespass fee if they want access

You'll get no argument from me on the general public comment. However trespass fees become excessive at some point.

We have people pay 20 grand for tags and access. Others are lucky they have the option in my opinion

For a limited entry unit, hunters choice season. That’s for bull tags.

I think deer are 12k or something

Totally agree. I'm from Texas and there is virtually no public land. Even in the open deserts of West Texas. Some Energy companies owns it all. Texans like to shoot trespassers so that is also risky if your just out exploring.

Right around 7' 1" based on the fact that I've barely fit in a garage with a 7' 2" entry.

Yeah I used to work out at Guadalupe Mountains National Park and my mom worked and Big Bend for a few years. I did like west TX. However the gas boom in recent years has sure torn up a lot of that land. Was gross when I drove through there a few years ago from Austin to my brothers house in Carlsbad NM.

What a strange socialist thought.... By your logic if that person should have to open his hard earned land to your personal use (because you don’t own as much land) then you should have to make your little yard available to some one else who doesn’t have as much.

Seems a little selfish to want to play on whatever property you want regardless of who owns it. The only way that would work is if the government owned all the land. And something tells me you don’t want that.

    Not much stock left.
One might ask, whose land is it to sell in the first place?

Tell me where exactly where I said that person HAS to open their 'hard-earned' land to my own personal use? I CLEARLY stated it's their land and they can do what they want with it...completely different scenarios talking about somebody's actual tiny fenced off backyard..0.25 acres compared to somebody who owns thousands of acres on a mountainside.

And I can want to play on any property I wish, but that doesn't mean I'm going to. I respect all signs and postings.
