Fair enough. You did say you respected their signs but wanted to be able to play on their land. Disappointed that you can’t play on his property, fine. Complaining that a person shouldn’t own that much land... that I don’t agree with. Hell I’d own 1000s of acres on a mountainside if I could. Sounds awesome.

The question I have is why is owning 1000s of acres in the woods different than owning .25 in town? His cattle need land to roam so he can turn it to the beef you eat. Not wanting to have torn up land from redneck yahoos shooting shit and atvs and Tacoma owners driving all over his land makes sense to me. Just like you don’t want some homeless person camping in your lawn. Land is land.

Anyone here race SCCA Autocross or rally cross? I may have found an endeavor I can actually afford to try my hand at.

It doesn't appear that a Tacoma is recommended. May have to pass.

Yeah, but it's the perfect excuse to buy a little $1,000 beater car and actually be somewhat justifiable.

I texted you earlier about tagging along if you want to come.

I was thinking a Toyota Matrix to keep it in the family, and have a little more room. Of course, gratuitous light bars, etc would be needed, just cuz. Plus then I could show up to UTOR meets in it!

Anyone know a good vinyl installer in Salt Lake County? Need to have my roof wrapped. The paint is starting to look sad...

I like it! Six or seven light bars and some 12-KC lights and you're good.

Envision / Ahn's Custom are the two that come to mind. There's also one on 400W next to Rollover Motorsports that looks to do pretty good work based on the vehicles I see in front of it.

I enjoyed it many years ago, but they started only running in the gravel parking lots at miller motorsports park and havn't really been back since.

Buy something cheap, gut the interior and drive it like a rental.

Looks like most of the autocross events these days are at the Maverik center or the fairgrounds, 1 car on track at a time

Now for the rally cross, yeah, thats where you get the beater out to play.

I love wheeling in Moab and have explored the Grand staircase/ Escalante areas a fair bit. But also just love exploring dirt roads and backroads...

Anybody done the Utah BCDR? Thoughts?

I assume that’s some sort of smart ass comment about “we don’t like your kind around here”

Dont worry I’ll get to your corner too bro . Thanks for the helpful input.

Unfortunately, I've not done it, but it looks amazing. I can't think of any reason why a person wouldn't do it. I don't do motorcycles anymore, so I guess I'm out. Doesn't appear to be Tacoma approved.

Interesting... most of their other routes are 4x4 approved. Utah says maybe not. But fuck it. That’s what my Gaia maps app is for. Finding an alternative route. I think I may do this route this fall.

As I recall it is because there is a section that is a squeeze even for the bikes. I think you have to skip a section in a 4x4.
