Over budget is definitely worse. The CFO explained it to me this way. The business budgets so much money every month. If you spend less that you said you would that could have gone to another department. The CFO was my boss so it wasn't like I had to go up multiple levels to talk to him.

My buddies and I just did black bear pass and other linked trails. You will be good, some spots get tight and we 2/3 point turned some of the switchbackz. One jeep friend has 43" mickey baja pro x 13.5"wide with 2" wheel spacers and he was made the routes.

I just received my Garmin Inreach Mini. Now to sort it all out. I’m not as savvy (or motivated) as I once was.

It claims I can somehow map routes, but the screen seems way too small for that. Anyone use there’s to map routes?

I just got one too. Used it on a 7-day rafting trip. Seems great so far.
I haven’t used any of the mapping features yet, just tried tracking for a bit while we were on the trip. But I think I general, all the features are easier to use and have more function when using the inreach through your phone

You may have to give me a lesson.

EDIT: Which plan did you go with?

I have an inreach, but not the mini. Even on the larger model its much easier to use your phone for most things. I don't find the phone app very intuitive either though, so I really only use it for texting when I'm out on an extended trip. It's always with me in the backcountry though, even just for the SOS peace of mind.

I’ve not yet figured out how to text from my phone via the app.

Im having some problems with my brakes/steering again... Horrible steering wheel shake at about 55-65 mph and also when Im braking from high speeds, which has been getting progressively worse. Replaced rotors and pads and that seemed to fix it, but the problem came back relatively quickly. I'm thinking its either a wheel bearing or I have a seized caliper piston which has chopped up my rotors again already (3 months o_O).

Geoff Beers, the mechanic I usually use isn't accepting new bookings right now so I'm in need of a recommendation for a trustworthy mechanic. Located in Salt Lake Valley but willing to travel for a good one.

Tacoma wheel bearings usually present as a howling sound around 40 and go silent on turns. You could lift the truck and shake the tire to check for play, then pop the wheel off and turn the hub by hard to check for "gritty" sections. A stuck piston could be the case and explains the rotor wear pattern if that's a repeat issue.

I have a similar wobble at ~55mph and its from the pax side being knocked out of alignment vs the driver side, as evidenced by tire cupping. When's the last time someone looked at that?

Great tips from @Gunshot-6A, put it in the air and do some preliminary checking.
If you need a shop the guys at State Auto do great work, but they're also pretty busy and $$$ lately. I'd call the folks at Cruiser Outfitters and see what / who they recommend.
