Ehh, no one wants a shit load of new people moving in. I totally get it. I appreciate the input on the apartment complex though, I’ll check them out. They look super nice.

Seems like salt lake’s pay is about equal to col, whereas Nashville has grown at the rate where col is stupid but not many employers offer the pay to match.

Yessir, I won’t be coming in trying to turn it into a liberal city. One of the big reasons I chose Utah is the gun laws lol.

But I see you’re from Ogden, how is that area? I noticed it’s considerably cheaper than salt lake.

Ogden isnt much of a city, more like a large town. All the stores and shit u need. Some nice and some shitty areas. Not sure about apartments but I do see them being built all over Ogden. Ogden is getting busier but still not like SLC. Quick drive to get over mountains to snowboarding and such. 25th street has some bars and restaurants up and down the street!

I knew you were joking and I’m sure Kerleyfries did too, but.... It’s funny once or a few times, not funny every damn time some one posts about moving or visiting.

I’ve lived and worked in Rocky Mountain NP, Yosemite, San Francisco. You want to talk about crowded, recreation crowded, and expensive. Utah ain’t got shit on those places. Why do you think people want to move away from Cali and CO?

plus to be honest, unless you live in Moab, even if you live in salt lake, you are part of the Moab crowd problem too. No difference between a NM person visiting Moab or an SLC person visiting. Neither one live there. (Except when I go to Moab, I stay with friends, so I don’t even have to take up a campsite...)

Either way UT is amazing and I am grateful to be able to visit when I can. I look forward to doing the Rimrocker, the Kokopelli, the UTBDR, more off-roading in Moab, getting my permit months in advance like everyone else to camp in Canyonlands. And so on.

You think its just Moab? Its literally every gawd damn piece of forest, lake, NP, doesn't matter.

The problem is when these people move here and start the Californication of the state they transplanted to.

Moab is the only thing even remotely cool and worth checking out in Utah so just stick to Moab. Everything else is really boring and bland.
Nothing else in Utah is worth checking out just stick to arches and Moab and

Also worth noting, North <--> South traffic isn't terrible. East <---> West on the other hand is not great. So if you are looking to commute N <> S, then look closer to the freeway areas

Very true Murray is really nice centralized location. 20 minutes to anywhere.
Also I work in Farmington and it is a nice area
Right by the great salt lake, if your into duck hunting it would be worth checking out

Traffic in comparison to other parts of the US is actually fairly good. rush hour, it can get bad-ish. but yeah, Sandy should get you around 20-30 minutes downtown. on a no-traffic day, an easy 20 minute drive. It feels far but it honestly isn't.

Our problem is taht we live on a corridor so everything sits along this n-s I15 axis. hard to get east-west unless you know your roads. but going north and south is damn easy. Unelss there's construction which in that case, all bets are off. lol.
