Haven’t confirmed anything yet, just process of elimination. Will definitely call them and see if they can help. Thank you for the recommendation

    not enough.
Question for the ski/snowboard folks who listen to music while riding with a helmet. Anyone have any recs for earphones to use? Do airpods work just fine on the slopes? or does the helmet give undue pressure on the ears? thoughts on any other brands? TIA (I figured I'd ask the Utah folks because...you know...we're Utah and we ski apparently)

edit: asking for a friend. I don't listen to music when I'm out.

I also second t-slots in clearfield. I needed some for a roof rack on the 4-Runner that we used to have. They are expensive however. It is like $30 per 41/42" 1x2" extrusion. You could probably get some online, but when you factor in shipping, it will probably be the same.

    Yea,
I am probably going to hold off on our initial bronco order for 2021. They keep moving the roll out back and I would like to sit/ drive in one before commiting 8+ months of waiting for it to be delivered. Another thing is the initial dealer markup. I have called several dealers and the doc fees are crazy.

Air pods are popular with my friend group. Chips by outdoor tech are the second most popular

I would say anything that you can only use one earbud/puck for. The in helmet pucks are pretty nice and don't completely block off your hearing from people cruising by you. One thing that my buddy did last season was get a small speaker that clipped onto his backpack strap (I think it was a JBL). it had external controls and he could turn it on when about to go down his run or listen on the chair or whatever. seemed to be a better option for him and our group as we could all listen with and mob down the hill together. Also, it made it pretty easy to find each other when we were in the side country if we got split up as he would just crank it up.

Well it looks like I am moving from So cal to Ogden area and was wondering, do you guys do any frame coating on your trucks to protect from road salts etc? What do you suggest? How do you get your undercarriage clean enough to apply it? Thanks

I lived in N. Utah for 35 years and never coated my frames. Of course I usually only keep my vehicles for a couple years so I'm probably not the best example

Yeah I never have. It's not like the salt belt in the midwest/northeast. I haven't heard of very many issues from trucks that have been here. I wouldn't worry about it too much to be honest.

According to the service manager at the big dealership in SLC, the only 1st gen frames they ever had to replace were from trucks that had spent most of their life back East. Utah trucks are fine. So you'll get surface rust out here, if that bugs you do the fluid film or whatever flavor ppl are spraying these days. I've never bothered with it.

Ive been in Ogden 2 years now. I just hit the manual car wash and try to spray truck a bit during winter to get some of the salt off. But my skids, sliders, bumpers, etc.. are scraped and gouged up from rocks and stay rusty a bit, lol

    Not much stock left.
My truck is looking a bit naked since I took off the RTT. The welds on the rack broke while out on the FYTO this year.

Had to ratchet strap it together to make it home.

My 2nd gen frame was replaced under the service campaign. Had giant holes in it. The truck lived its entire life in Utah, and I washed the undercarriage regularly.

I’ve got a 2020 Tacoma with Icon Stage 5 suspension on it. I don’t think it was tuned or adjusted correctly and want to take it to someone who really knows what they are doing. Any suggestions?

Also I am wanting to go to 5.29 gearing in the next few months. The shop I brought my 18 to for gearing didn’t do a great job so I’m looking for a new shop for gears as well. I’m located in South Jordan but am willing to drive for expertise

What is happening that makes you think it wasn’t tuned or adjusted correctly? The only thing adjustable is the front end height. The valving/compression/rebound is set by icon and not adjustable.

Thats exactly what’s going on. From the stock truck to the icon suspension with 33s, I’m only sitting an inch higher. I shouldn’t have said tuned.

Ahhh. I see. Yea, just need to add preload to get desired height. If you have the spanner wrench, just jack the truck up to where there is no weight on the front end and you should be able to add preload with them still in the truck. You’ll need an alignment afterwards though.

I’ve got an alignment scheduled for Wednesday so I will pick up a wrench and just do it myself. Do you run icon suspension? I’m just wondering how adjusting the preload will affect the ride/performance and how far I should push it up. I do everything else on my truck but have left the suspension to the pros...so I thought.
