Option B would be a lot of fun. Anything fast you’re already eyeing?

    A few very different things...
e36 that would eventually get a 1jz. This is least likely since I’m in an apartment for at least the next year
Manual Is300. I really like 4 doors, and could make like 500whp pretty easy without pulling the motor. But again, apartment.
C6 vette. This is the most likely since I could just drop this off at a shop and have H/C/I and an exhaust done and be super happy with it. My best friends dad builds custom suspension for vettes so I could have a badass track suspension setup for cheap too.
On the odd chance I find a really good deal, maybe an evo 8 or 9.

I could believe that given t4r dimensions. I hated backing in my taco.

Lot of fun options there. It’s insane how high E36 prices have gone.
C6 are fun machines with so many relatively easy aftermarket options. My old neighbor runs JDP in Sandy, the go-to shop for go-fast Vettes & Camaros.

Yea, it’s insane. Which is one of the reasons I’m leaning towards a vette.

I welded for my best friend’s dad for the last 6 months in Nashville and he used to be HEAVY in the vette autocross scene. So between getting suspension from him, using his racing discount, and the connections I made through the shop.. I’m confident I could build a nasty c6 for a fair price.

I did it last October which I think is a very popular time, so it was quite busy for our group. The scenery is fantastic and it is not a difficult trail - there are only a few climbs/descents that require some attention other than not driving off the road. The Shafer and Mineral access roads are well maintained so you will have cars and minivans going up and down in those areas and further in based on road conditions. There were a ton of mountain bike groups and trucks doing it in one day as well as all campsites being full with private groups and tour companies. Plan ahead if you want to camp and take your time to hike or explore. Most campsites have separation which is nice. Lathrop Canyon is a great side-trip for lunch and a dip in the Colorado. I think campsite reservations are released 4 months in advance. We had several people online simultaneously trying to get campsites at midnight for October release dates. I would assume there would be less people when it is the hottest and the coldest. I'm sure you know to be prepared. I think others could provide more information and better times of the year, but feel free to PM.

Hey Utah people, wondering if any of you have interest in some of these Hard Korr 19in LED light bars. i have a set of 4. naturally i ordered the wrong thing and I dont want to have to pay shipping back. so maybe someone on here wants them for a couple dollars less than I spent for my own dumb ass mistake. these are pretty awesome lights, magnetic backing. fully waterproof. clips to easily attach lights to camp poles. dimmers, three color way, extension cables, splitter.

Anyone in SLC with a 3rd gen equipped with the factory cargo light switch that could help me out?

    IMG_2771.jpg

I am building T-Harnesses that break-out the illumination wires of this switch without splicing into your factory wiring. I just found some different connectors and want to verify fitment with someone that actually has the factory switch (I have nothing to plug the female-end of mine into). For your time you can keep the harness (if it works... if not... beer?).

You could use mine if you'd like. But I don't have a lot of time this week to even meet up with anyone. :/

Perfect because the connectors have just been ordered. I’ll PM you when they arrive (Prob next week) and we’ll set something up. Thanks!

Im still having braking issues... I get a vibration everytime I brake at a high speed, and I've noticed its beginning to pull to the left. I've done...
    - 2 sets of pads
    - rotors
    -complete brake fluid flush
    - a wheel bearing....

The only thing I can think of is calipers or a bad line. Any suggestions? ... this is driving me F***ing crazy!

Might want to try freeing up the caliper first before a rebuild. Using a clamp to push it in and your brake pedal. A little triflow can work it loose.

Sounds like a caliper issue. Replace the right-side caliper but should probably do both if one has seized.
