    Thanks. How was it?

I ended up taking it to Mark Miller Collision. The paint on the roof was cracked, so the roof is getting painted. Shitty deal.

I’d be down, but I’m still a ways out before I’ll be able to. Probably early spring.

Would like to put together something then, if you’re interested? Maybe Moab or the Swell.

Yes! Always down for either. I’ve never been to swell, or heard of it. I know Moab I could bring the trailer and leave it at camp. Not sure if swell is a move every night or make camp for the weekend thing.

That sucks, sorry man. I guess it’ll at least be nice to have it back to new condition once it’s done.

The San Rafael Swell Is one of my favorite places to go. I was introduced to the Swell by @Jiveydude and fell in love with the place. I’ve been there a few times on my own. Generally speaking, I look to move from camp to camp.

    Some pics from the area.

Thanks. This has become an expensive hobby.

Okay, so I decided to build my own power tank. Didn’t think it would be a challenging project. Purchased all the parts on Amazon, and all parts were delivered.

I began assembling parts. Started with the 10 lb aluminum tank and the handle. Well, the hole on the handle was too small. No big deal, made the hole bigger. Now the handle fits and need to secure it.

Borrowed a pair of snap ring pliers from the shop. Damn! For the life of me can’t get the snap ring on the neck the tank. I literally spent like an hour. No dice. Go to work the next day test on some CO2 tanks we have at work. Easy peezy. Borrowed another set of snap ring pliers to be safe. Another hour of cursing and still no dice.

I take my furry to the internet. Discover that there are two types of CO2 tanks. There are Catalina and Luxfer style tanks. They look exactly the same. However, the necks are not the same size. The Catalina is 2-1/2” and the Luxfer is about 2-1/4”.

I purchased a set of 13” snap ring pliers from Amazon and had the shop pick up a 2-1/2” snap ring and Shazam! After numerous hours invested in a ten second install.

I’ve been around a lot of CO2 tanks as have the guys shop. Nobody had a clue there were two different sizes.

Did a little fuckin around in the 5 mile area today with @microwvbleturtle and 3 other guys off UTOR. Wheeling with snow on the ground is super fun, but sketchy. I may or may not have run into a tree

I’m all in at 279.49, which includes tax and shipping.

This includes the 10# aluminum tank with valve, carrying handle, digital inflator with pressure gauge, 150 psi regulator and mounting bracket.
