@Gunshot-6A, did you have your pistol match over the weekend? If so, how’d it go?

I didn't end up going. I had a run-in with a tree branch on my mountain bike Friday night and 8 stitches later, trying to manipulate a firearm on the clock wasn't in the cards for the next morning.

Considering the replacement cost/availability of ammo right now, I'm not heartbroken in the slightest.

That said, I was bummed we didn't hit Cal Ranch in Vernal on the way out of town.

I got invited on a trip to The Needles district of Canyonlands this weekend and have never been to that part of the park. I've been looking for some day trips as it sounds like everyone is on their own for that. We're camping at the Devil's Kitchen campgrounds, so I believe we're doing Elephant Hill as part of that. Any recommendations for off-road trails/hikes we should hit in that area? I'd like to do some canyoneering if possible, but it sounds like there aren't any technical canyons nearby.

I don’t have any recommendations for you, but I want to make it down there. It looks remarkable.

Chesler Park and the confluence overlook are my favorites. Confluence overlook is shorter if you take the 4x4 trail. I don’t know what your route looks like but I love going all the way through elephant hill to Bobby’s hole and beyond out to Bears Ears.

Does anybody need some basic, low-profile bed bars? Originally for a 2nd gen, hacked them up to fit 3rd gen rails. Powdercoated.

Hey folks...taking your advice and looking to get a better suspension upgrade on the new Taco. Going with the Bilstein 6112/5160 setup. Any recommendations on a good shop (SLC and north) to do the installation for me?

Depends, do you own a tube bender? :D

Seriously though: Are you adding leafs, UCA's, etc or just the shocks? I'd use anyone on the below list if doing a full install, or you could easily swap just shocks front and rear in your driveway.

    Agility Customs (WJ)
    Fat Bobs (Layton)
    Ahn's Customs (Murray)
    Edit: Sandy Big O

I'd add Cory at Big O in Sandy to that list. He can do the install and then align it for you all in one go.

Are there any retailers in SLC that sell Rotopax standard mounts? I'm looking to snag one (and maybe a 2 gal tank) sometime today or tomorrow.

Always a plus to not have to scrub tires over to the shop to get it aligned.

Speaking of Hinkley Overlanding, is anyone going to their event this weekend?

I was and still hoping to go to the Swell for a quick one tomorrow, but noticed my driver side CV is blowing grease all over. I thought I would get more than 35k before having to do a CV.
