Was leather an option on 2nd gens? I haven't seen that before.

The 2nd gen had an XSP-X edition and I had no idea what they were until my cousin got one. They have some really nice black leather interior with XSP-X head stitching. It's pretty hard to find a 2nd gen with leather though.

You guys are talking like leather is better than cloth.

In what way? It's slippery, colder or hotter, and if it is damaged it is more difficult and expensive to repair. I avoid vehicles with leather.

I did buy a new car with leather once and the car was absolutely great. And I got used to getting in on a hot day and avoiding touching the leather with my bare skin if I was wearing shorts. I can't fault the car at all... except for the leather.

    Not much stock left.
Where did you end up going? Looks like a great spot.

Leather is a must. So much easier to clean. Never had an issues with them being too hot or too cold.

While all that is true, it's so much easier to clean up a spill on leather. With a kid and a wife that loves to leave things in the passenger seat it's a life saver. I also find leather to be very comfortable to place my butt on.

@H3llRid3r & @gmr102 spot on, the clean-up factor is clutch with leather. You just can’t wear your Daisy Dukes in July like apparently @Travlr does.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... you guys must all have some kind of neurological problem that makes you drop shit. Who spills so much shit that they worry about spills? I think it's that you like spending money uselessly and bragging about it.

But whatever... At least I have the legs for Daisy Dukes. ;):dancingbacon::thumbsup:

I have thought about getting the Katskin done on my two front seats. I have the TRD offroad cloth but the driverside is worn down pretty good. I want to replace it with some sort of 'leather/ vinyl' combo.

Back from Echo Lake. It was pretty neat, fun little rocky road to get up there.

The mosquitoes are out in full swing up there already :bananadead:.

We were out at Elkhorn campground last Sunday thru Tuesday, above Cathedral Valley... and a couple of guys pulled in, one with a Ford and another with a Taco. The first thing they did was start a roaring fire. Pretty soon one of them appears with a carpenter's hand saw and he's kneeling next to a tree -IN THE Campground- and getting ready to cut it down.

My wife didn't have time to even caution me before I was over there lecturing them about Campground etiquette and what it means to be in a forest full of kindling in a drought.

They pulled up stakes and left.

Saw/knew of three large recreational or agricultural fires in the past three days. Totally not necessary.
